Southside Moving and Storage is a professional local, long distance & international moving and storage company with an established military authority and membership in the American Moving and Storage Association.Our corporate headquarters is located in Sterling, VA, with franchise offices in Prince William County, Charlottesville, Richmond, Virginia Beach and Gaithersburg, MD. We are licensed, bonded and insured.Services include residential & commercial moving, packing/unpacking services, custom crating for HDTVs, fine art, antiques single pieces & in-house moving, piano moves, disassemble/re-assemble furniture, load/unload rental truck international shipping, packing boxes & supplies short & long-term storage in a secure facility.

This moving company was amazing. The price was fair and wasn't expensive. The movers we had were donte and marcel and they were amazing. Very respectful, had great customer service, and the list goes on. They made the move stress free. And when we came to a problem with the large couch not fitting through the door. They were quick to come up with a solution to get it into the apartment. I would recommend these two guys and this company to anyone. They worked hard and so much more. And the office staff Yvette had amazing customer service. I will be using this company again.

Disgusting company. Destroyed my property and damaged my residence. I lost hundreds in groceries and refrigerated prescriptions when the fridge I paid them nearly $300 to move immediately stopped working. After filing a claim and having to HOUND them for a response they stated it’s not their fault. Really? After the bungled delivery the movers hung around in my property until they were explicitly told they would not be receiving a tip and to leave immediately. Horrible horrible company and service.

I have to warn other prospective movers of the experience I encountered.  I did not sign a contract for moving services but was asked to give my bank card number to pencil in the date to move.  I was told my card would not be charged until I confirmed needing the services.  I called Ms. Jenkins and informed her I would not need the services the next day after our initial conversation.  Needless and horrifying to say she charged my card $405.00!  This is illegal as we had no signed contract and even if I did sign one it says if you plan to cancel a refund would be given if you cancel within 7 days.  I called and cancelled in 1 day.  Thank God my bank is disputing and rectifying this matter in my favor, but please be informed that if you give them your bank card they will illegally charge you even if you don't authorize or have a contract in writing!! Stay away from this company...

This is seriously the worst moving company I have ever had dealings with. First they showed up four and a half hours late for the move which pushed the entire schedule behind. Once they showed up it was like it was their first move they had ever made. They couldn’t get things into the rooms. Every single piece of furniture these guys moved for me has damage from them. My dresser, my headboard and foot board, my couch, my utility bench. Everything has been damaged. I’ve never been so disgusted with a company in my entire life and truly think I could have paid a teenage neighbor less to do a better job. I will never trust my belongings in the hands of these so called professionals ever again. Thanks for causing stress and the damage to personal belongings.

Expect a poor quote and significant last minute charges (>$2000 in my case) from the salesmen. Study that fine print! The people who moved the house were, however, punctual and polite, which lead to this two-star redemption.
