It's a pretty place with good spots to camp with or without a tent. The major problem is the bathrooms. Beware of the bugs! They are everywhere!!! Lift up the toilet seats to check for bad bugs who bite, because they will! Spiders, centipieds, wasp, GIANT HORSE FLIES all seem to hide inside the toilet bowls.  Taking a shower is creepy too because the bugs are everywhere. The mosquitoes will eat you alive while your shower, so make it super quick. They didn't privide soap to wash your hands. It's very true to camping so it is what it is.  I do expect more from a state park though. A horse fly bit me and it hurt, so always look for those bugs.

Truman State Park Marina saved us! We were headed out to fish and we needed gas. It was 3:15 and the place we keep our boat closed at 3:00. Truman State Park Marina was open until 7:30. The young man that came out to pump our gas was very friendly. He was able to hold a conversation and had a fun personality.

A wonderful time in the morning shareing the sunrise w my family an friends that God blesses us with new harrizons daily the gift of life ,on 5 day in the morning there was a cross in the cloud an it was the day of the solar eclipse this is what I saw a cross of our Lord an Saviour Jesus Christ .

Absolutely beautiful! Well maintained and super friendly. Best family weekend we have had in a long time. Got my teenagers off their phones and into nature! This is our new go to place. Truly hated to go home! Thank you!
