Unbelievable. I've been down to the office for a simple name change 2 times and will be a 3rd tomorrow. The first time I went, the systems were down and they were making copies of people's documents to process later. 4 weeks later, still no card. I go in and they tell me my application was never processed so I show them the stamped original of which they took a copy the first time, the lady (very nice and friendly) goes ahead and processes my application again...but only enters part of my name change and forgets to add my new last name. I notice her mistake as I walk out, but if I get back in line, I'd be there for hours. I tried getting a hold of them by phone every day since to verify the error and correct it, and I couldn't get through to speak with someone until today. They tell me I have to go back and REAPPLY. This is ridiculous for a simple name change. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The clerks were nice and friendly, but they and the office are not being managed well, leading to lots of mistakes. If you can, go to one of the other offices, even if you have to drive farther, especially if you have a more complicated issue to take care of in person.

Name change.. in and out in 10 minutes..met with helpful security and kind receptionist. Thank God! I was expecting chaos.

Not an exciting place to go. Unless you have social security business to care of. Employees were helpful.

Just got off phone and was told system wasnt updated by Hemet office yet and that we should go down to the office. Looked up hours and it says 9-430, hurried down and the office is closed with signs that say 9-4. Amazing that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing.

If you just need a replacement card go in after 3pm, I was in and out in 20 minutes!!!! Both the gentlemen I spoke to were very nice!
