Twenty years ago Henderers-- then pretty new-- did a fantastic total remodel of our old (1860s) former schoolhouse. This year they graciously accommodated us with another partial remodel when our house was crushed by a tree.  Excellent work and fine craftmanship despite having to work us into their already booked up schedule. A first rate organization.

In the process of interviewing several local builders/contractors for our building  project, my husband and I  were immediately impressed with Henderer Design and Build when during our intial meeting, Dave loaned us a book called "The Not So Small House" as a resource to insure that we would be able to turn our dream project into reality: we did, and it is. He's a great listener and was not only able to understand our dream, but made it easy for all of us to work together on it. We teamed with Dave and his amazing  staff to design and build a two-story multi-use garage/shop/barn/apartment/art studio. Our "vision" became their "vision," and the result is a testament to beauty, outstanding craftsmanship and detail, pride in that workmanship, fluid and effective communication (we lived 900 miles away during the whole project and communicated through email and digital photos!), and mutual respect to stay within our budget. Check out the project pics for The Love Nest on their website! It was such a great experience that we can't wait to start our home addition and remodel soon. We can't wait to work with the team again!

We were initially hesitant to get started, thinking it was going to be a nightmare, but it was a wonderful experience. Henderer's crew were considerate, always cleaned up after their day's work, on time, on schedule and on budget. And when we altered our design a bit (fairly late in the process), Henderer worked it into the schedule.

We love our new fireplace. It's become the center of our home. Very well worth every penny.

From the initial meetings through the design phase and the actual remodel we had an excellent experience with Henderer Design + Build. Their work is high quality and we love our bathrooms. I would recommend Henderer Design + Build to anyone considering a remodel or addition to their home.

My wife said it well, but I'll add a few comments.  1) Excellent working relationship with a demanding client (me).  2) Highest competence, workmanship and professionalism, including their subcontractors. 3) Worked with us to get to a result we are very happy with. I was very involved and felt welcome to be so. They were very responsive.  4) We received good guidance, but did not feel pressured.  5) Close attention to detail by all staff. 6) Completed the project including the punch list by the promised delivery date.  No lose ends.  7) Considerate of the impact of construction on our daily life.  Thanks, Gilbert
