Phil replaced rotted, load bearing porch posts for us. He was very thoughtful and knowledgable regarding how best to accomplish the job while protecting the surrounding porch construction from being impacted. Upon completion, we had him paint the posts and prep/paint the existing 40 foot run of weathered porch railing/spindles. He and his son, Mark, did a beautiful job on all the work. They are very pleasant, very experienced, and very efficient. The property was left as they found it (no messes or damage). I would call them again in a heartbeat and heartily recommend them for any construction and/or paint work.

Phil Howard was an excellent general contractor for our kitchen remodel. His approach was very professional and thorough. He always kept his appraised of the job status with this proactive communication style. Cost were accurate and additional charges for "work out of scope" were reasonable.  

Not only that, the work area was cleaned every day, which reduced to the mess and a stress of the whole remodel process! The quality of work was superb and rivaled any we have previously had done. We strongly recommend Phil Howard for any home improvement project you are considering.

Phil and Mark painted the exterior of our house this summer, and replaced an exterior door. They did a great job with the painting, and also were excellent at cleaning up after themselves each day. Phil is a good communicator, which made the process easier. I would highly recommend them.

Phil and his crew did some water damage repair work on our house this spring and then followed up with priming, caulking, painting of the exterior this fall. In both cases, the quality of the work was excellent, and they did a good job of minimizing the impact of the work on our family, pets, and landscaping. In the case of the repair work, they did a good job of explaining what they found and what they were doing to fix the problem. While the bid in both cases was not the lowest, the care and time they spent making sure the job was done methodically and right made it a good value. We would definitely use them again.

Phil remodeled our bathroom and we are very happy with the result.  He was very responsive during the whole process and has a lot of experience to get the job done right, in our time frame, and on budget.
