The lady that works over night dispatch be sleep when you call at night and she's rude. She don't seem to be customer friendly. I called 7:12am today and she said to call back at 7:30 am extremely rudely. I called back to ask when a supervisor would be available and Jenny answered the phone said they not available and then hung up. I'm not sure if they record these calls but customers should'nt be treated rudely just because she don't want to take calls. I will be contacting a supervisor at 7:30am to let them know Jenny hanging up on customers and sounds sleep everytime you call late at night.
I have lived in High Point for over 20 years and I have always been very pleased with the services provided by the City. When a pipe in the street burst and began pouring water out in the middle of the night in freezing cold a few years ago, they came out right away. Recently, our neighbor saw a crack in the street with water coming through. I called and they were out in less than 30 minutes. When I've called the Utilities office with questions, they have been helpful and pleasant. I've appreciated the things they have been doing lately to renew downtown areas to rebuild from changes in the furniture market and furniture factories. There's been many other great things while I've been here in High Point.
I've been living and in HP and going to this place for 8 years to pay my bill, and it has always had very rude and hostile representatives workers in person in the cubicles and also over the customer service utility phone lines. The cubicle ladies have a fighting, argumentative spirit when asked questions in their comfortable cubicles. They are very quick to recite the policy change, but seemingly enjoy hardship times that customers face,. It seems they all believe every person is on the social service free checks, welfare programs, but news flash everyone isn't, just because we live in HP doesn't mean we live on the state! Some times people need help with extensions, split payments etc..These cubicle ladies act like they are the walmart customer service workers, anyone who is used to walmart knows that the employees are rude and don't care. It seems as if HIGH POINT UTILITIES is the same way. For 7 -8 years these ladies have always been highly unapproachable, the only ones that are sweet are the ladies that take the payments. Other than that your employees are a horrible representation of a city utility place. Whoever this new boss they keep referring to as the new policy changer, he or she should rethink the decisions he or she has made concerning payments and his staff. There is no need to try and impress the CEO, he will soon see things don't always work just b/c you change the policies. Have a meeting with the cubicle, phone line workers and let them know their pay will be affected if they don't change over to having better customer service, I guarantee they will begin to change. Yes, this is long, but your high wattage is too. PLEASE DO BETTER! THANKS A TAX PAYING CUSTOMER WITH REAL BILLS.
Great experience with power, but their policies and staff are horrible. They will straight up send a bill collector to your home if you are late on your bill. They won't even call. They won't make arrangements to pay a late bill later than the cut date of the next bill, even with acceptable reasons, such as loss of employment. This month they were so disorganized, they sent their bill collector to my door even though I had made arrangements prior to the bill due date since I knew I was going to be late. Also, their power rates are higher than the surrounding cities as they are a smaller company and do not get as many government subsidies as the larger companies. Unfortunately, they are a monopoly and it you live in High Point, you must have their service.
The phone customer service is extremely rude! If I wasn’t forced to have my utilities from them because of where I live I wouldn’t use them! They have been rude to me on the phone almost every time I’ve called them! A women by the name of Valerie was mean snarky, and over talking me when I was simply asking about not being alerted about some recent policy change that was not mentioned at all to us customers! On top of all that their bills are double the local competitor it should be illegal to force us to have to endure service from a company simply because of where we live they continue to get away with terrible costumer service because of this
I have always had EXCELLENT service when contacting the 883-3111 line. The receptionist was cordial and helpful and transferred me to the appropriate department as needed. I've worked with folks in the electrical, sanitation, water and road departments...all have been great whenever I had a problem. I've found people will treat you the same way you treat them...
We always experience good customer service with both residential and business assistance. We're excited about starting our business here, because the City of High Point has been very welcoming.
0 stars if I could! This city over charges you for utilities but the trash men are allowed to just by pass your trash can and not empty it. This is the second time in a month this has happen. And when I called the City of High Point they refused to send them back. I can't wait to leave this place. They take your money for services and do what they want to do.
i have been dealing with plumbing issues for over 2 months now. at first i thought it was on our end, had roto rotor come out they took care of stuff just to find out that it has always been on the city side and Mr.lax said the city wouldnt do anything about and to wait till it back up again then they might fix it.
I would love to see the city offices involved more with community and neighborhood issues. I live in a neighborhood that I am helping to revitalize by renovating an older home. I have contacted the office several times regarding community clean up times, to get people to take more initiative in keeping the surroundings cleaner. Also about the rat vestation in the
