The staff at the front is very friendly and simply wonderful. The doctors, however, are not so great. The first one we saw seemed really distracted. Kept repeating questions, after forgetting the answer literally 20 seconds later. "How old is your dog?" "Ten years." "Hmm. So your dog is seven years old..." "No, ten years." "Oh, right, ten years. So I think we should do some bloodwork.... how old is your dog again? Seven years?" "No, ten years!" That literally went on and on like that through the entire visit. The second doctor we saw kept dismissing things we said, and telling us how he didn't believe us. Very rude, and why would we be dishonest? We just want our dog to get better.

Normally I don't share when I'm upset but I am pissed!!!! Cassie has been itchy for the past few days and now has a few spots that she made bloody and knotted up the hair. Being a good furry mom I called the doctor, plus she needed a check up and her yearly boosters. They didn't have a morning open until today. In the mean time, I can't just let her be itchy and uncomfortable, so i went to the store to get oatmeal wash and a spray. Plus I have cleaned out the spots and used aloe. (Many people I have talked to said it looks like a hot spot or maybe flees) Since then she has been doing way better but I still wanted to make sure. (Bc I'm not a doctor and I want her to live a long and healthily life) So I take her to our normal place- Highland Village Pet Hospital- the lady at the front greets us (super nice) and asks the normal questions. Then the nurse comes (super nice) and weights her, pets her, helps makes her feel comfortable. Cassie, thought is not a fan of the vet, normally does ok and does not freak out. At this point she is still doing fine. Doctor comes in- her whole mood changes. He tells me i need to hug her and to cover her eyes while he gives the shots. Never before has this been needed! She is freaking out and not having any of this. I'm gonna trust that my dog feels something is up. She has never acted this way. So now, I'm like what the hell is up???? So he asks about her spots- I start to tell him what has been happening and he cuts me off many times. Then asked to see the spot but Cassie is not having it. He doesn't even really look at her and check to see all the spots or make sure she's ok. I lifted her up but you can't see anything. So he starts talking about her teeth and showing me how I should be brushing and that we need to bring her in to get them deep cleaned, etc etc etc...... um what about the reason i brought her in? So i ask again- whats wrong with my baby girl and why is she itching to the point of drawing blood????? Still haven't checked her out- looked at her skin, or even felt her fur- her tells me I should start her on treatments right away. Said it is common and could just be allergies..... UM wait a minute- you are guessing and telling me I need to do something and put things in her body with out testing or actually looking at her????? Yeah no! So Im starting to get pissed and he's talking to me as if Im dumb- telling me that even over night this could be a huge problem. We need to start treatment. No- you didn't even check her out! So i asked again- is she healthy? He told me she seems fine, right? WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?! No, something is bugging her and thats the main reason I took her in. So I told him i will not being doing treatment- so he said fine and that I should really think about it. As he started to leave in a heist, he asked was there anything else? Yes! Is she ok? Are you going to actually look at her? Not really answering my questions nor listening to me, keeps cutting me off and then I give up and said no, so he just left! NOT OK! IM PISSED! The nurse comes back in and can see I'm not happy. Still being sweet, she tells me I can make an appointment with the owner. Cassie's whole mood changed once the nurse came in..... she must know Dr. John Cho is a huge jerk! I will continue to watch over her closely and continue to do what i have been but now I'm worried about what shots he gave her 2 shots and something oral- my description paper shows only two things. (maybe there has to be two forms of shots, idk) Poor Cassie is now resting and staying inside- Mama's pissed and trying to calm down!!!!!

Extreamly expensive. Took my Boston to have cherry eye treatment and it cost over $500. Same dog had cherry eye in other and was taken to another local vet and was only charged $86.
