Best School Ever We moved fromAlexanderia, and I was told by the teacher my son was slow at learning. He's reading level was too low.. etc my son was sent to the office almost ever day sometimes for the most unreasonable excuses ever 💔. We moved here two month later asked the teacher was he in class. She said he was good. Very respectful boy. Well mannered. Respects everyone in class respects teacher never was sent to the office. He was doing his homework all on his own. He's reading books on his own. He got the student of the month. He's reading level is very good. He got a high level math award. The stuff care so much about the kids. They put the kids before themselves. They treat the kids as their own. I love the school. I'll make sure all my kids go to this school ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We moved here just so our son could go to this school we heard so much about the school

I am highly disappointed with the county and the staff of this school. After transferring my children to Hillcrest Heights Elementary I was shocked to see that buses were not provided for all the children, There are over 255 registered sex offenders within a 5 mile radius of this school, some are within 1/4 of the school and i've seen children as young as kindergartners walking along some of the streets the offenders reside on, so whats going on with the P.G county and why is nothing being done to protect these kids? Another thing I dont agree on is how parents just drop their kids off in front of the school and the children have to stand outside until 5 to 10 minutes before school starts, sometimes the children arent even supervised until a staff member comes out to watch them, maybe its because half of the staff show up for work exactly once the doors open. There was one situation where I had my kids sitting with me in the car waiting for the doors to open and it was 7:40 and school starts at 7:30 and I was going to be late for work so I took my children home, I found out the following day that the school did not open on time due the P.G Police Department looking for someone who stole a vehicle nearby, but the staff was inside while the children were left outside? Also, If your parent who is in a tough situation, have more that one child, whatever the case may be and your child miss a couple of days of school the principle will report you to the county and next thing you know you'll be getting a letter in the mail from the county. We spoke to the principle and told her the only time our children miss school is when they are sick or have a doctors appointment, her advice was schedule the appointment on the weekend, now you tell me what parent has the luxury to set appointments when they want to? Then had the nerve to send the county to my residence? My children are honor roll students because of us, the parents, not this school. This school has been ranked below level for a long time and is not going to change, only 5% of the staff is good and if you really care about your the education of your child this school is not for them. This will be the last year my children attend this school and we will be leaving P.G County, I refuse to have county taxes come out of my income for this crap.
