We are more than just an excellent inpatient hospital.
One of the other services offered in your hometown hospital is swing bed services. Swing bed indicates that the status of an inpatient bed could ‘swing’ from that of acute inpatient stay to one of skilled care. The times when we most often think about the need for skilled care or swing bed is when we, or a loved one, are in need of a little extra help. It could be when rehabilitation is necessary following a major surgery, illness or fracture. A patient’s recovery is enhanced when family members can visit and even assist with the process. That is most easily accomplished when compassionate care can be given – without the burden of an hour’s drive each way – in your hometown.

Our Specialty Clinic provides some of the top physicians in the state. A variety of specialists come for your convenience. The list is quite amazing. Currently physicians who specialize in cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology visit their patients at HCH. These are well established physicians who work with HCH to bring you their services in your hometown.

Another convenience close to home are our outpatient services.
The Radiology Department features experienced staff who embrace new technology. Our 16 slice CT machine offers quality CTs quickly. We offer traditional x-rays, and mobile MRIs and ultrasounds.
Our CLIA Certified Laboratory is available for individuals, as well as businesses who need tests.
Nursing outpatient services are provided for a variety of conditions. IV antibiotic and medication administration, wound dressing care, including wound vacs, injections, and other skilled nursing procedures can be completed.
We are fortunate to have a Respiratory Therapist on staff who can perform a variety of diagnostic tests, including Pulmonary Function Tests.
Our Physical Therapy staff are recommended by numerous physicians. All outpatient therapies are available.
Sleep studies are performed on an outpatient basis for those having sleep difficulties.
