The Good: The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful The Bad: Hotel is a dump. If you get stuck in the rooms by the highway you will be treated to a night filled with traffic noises and a funky smell throughout the building. Rooms in other areas have cramped bathrooms and poor finishes. The Funny (and potentially dangerous): Moving around the hotel is like stepping into an M.C. Escher drawing- if M.C. Escher was on crack. The stairs are hilarious. For example coming off of the atrium on a beautiful antebellum double staircase to basically walk into a wall.The stairs that lead out of the Clayton Building where the last step is flush with the door. Or my favorite, the emergency exit stairs from the second floor, where if you aren't watching closely you can easily miss the floor and instead find yourself unexpectedly stepping down the first step since the first step actually slightly overlaps the door opening. At the bottom of this staircase, they have had to cut an area out of the step so that the door can open. It has to be seen to be fully appreciated. Be sure to let your kids touch the enormous unprotected furnace in the parking garage since a third degree burn is a great souvenir of a trip.

Standard Hilton room. Good location in town. Parking is easy. The key to this hotel is your location *in* the hotel. It's a big property and you might get a pretty good commute from your room to your car. Otherwise this is a decent property. I'd stay here again.

Very beautiful hotel. Classic look and very nice, comfortable rooms. Only complaint is that it's an older building so it has a distinct smell; similar to a retirement home. Other than that, it's a great place to stay and the staff are very nice.

Very interesting hotel. Was here for a wedding. Everyone on staff was INCREDIBLY nice and helpful. Our issues were the sleeping rooms. Upon checking in and seeing our first rooms we were unhappy with the fact that they were interior rooms and had no windows facing out. We asked for different rooms with windows and were given rooms on the main floor of the main building in the back corner with teeny tiny windows that looked onto another building (mold on walls and in bathroom floor tile, I refused to shower in this room). I couldn't acclimate with no natural light. Shontay at the front desk took pity on me and found me a room with a legit window for my last 2 nights. Again the staff are WONDERFUL though I wouldn't stay here again just because of the hotel design and the gamble you make on whether you get an updated room or an old, dank room.

I travel a lot. This is a very nice place to stay. It is conveniently located. Free parking. Very nice facility. Personally I like it better than the Chase Park Plaza.
