Many people I know are wary of car repair places. I trust Hockett & Olsen with both our cars. As an example we recently had a problem with the heater in our car, it would not turn on. We took the car in and found that a critter had made a nest in the fan housing. A quick clean out and we were back in business and at low cost. 
They could have told us it was a major problem and we would not had known any different.  That is the kind of experience we've had over these 20 years. Thanks Hockett & Olsen.

My wife and I bought a 1998 Honda Civic when we moved to Bainbridge Island in 1998. We have since relied on Hockett and Olsen to service it. They have always taken excellent care of us and our Honda at a fair price. We are lucky to have them on the Island.

Was told by a dealership service org that I needed front brakes soon.  Was unhappy with the dealership service org in general so I took my Jeep to Hockett & Olsen for the brake checkout.  They were professional and honest enough to tell me  the front brakes were fine and had plenty of miles left on them.  They also did a prompt oil service and general checkout.  I'll be back - Hockett & Olsen are professional, honest, and good natured.

OK, so fairly routine. Got flat tires (yes, two of them), left it here. The wait for tires was longer than I would have liked, but I assume that was due to location (I'm from the city). Anyway, tires replaced, car back on the road. Wheels haven't fallen off or anything. I'm satisfied.

At least twice in the process they went the extra mile, hence a 5-star review. As I mentioned, I'm not from Bainbridge Island, but an hour's drive away—and I'd gotten a ride home. When I told them I had an hour drive, they called me BEFORE my car was ready so that I could pick it up before closing time on the same day.

Also, I had a pretty gigantic scuff on the side of my car due to a sideswipe . . . when I picked it up there was a gigantic clean spot instead. Hadn't asked for it, wasn't charged for it. It saved me a lot of elbow grease or another visit to another car place. Thanks!

If you're into being scammed definitely go here.  If you actually want your car fixed I'd say go elsewhere.  If they sense you don't know much about cars they'll do their best to squeeze money out of you.
