Nice, quiet campground. Electric only like all MD state parks, but you can easily hit the water faucet and the dump station when needed. Good Verizon mobile connection and plenty of tv stations over antenna. Besides the hill coming into the campground (Which is like a 7% grade) and lack of full hookups, this is an ideal campground.

I was here overnight with my wife and a few friends for a quick tent campout. Attractive sites, well-equipped facilities, with friendly camp hosts and rangers.

I came to the area for a training and decided to make a vacation out of it. I came down Sunday afternoon, my wife and kids joined me Tuesday and we all left Sat morning. My 6yo and 3yo enjoyed playing at the Nature Play Area. It was very close to the campground. There is a relatively new playground at the park, the downside is youve got to drive out to it as its a good hike uphill both ways. The camp hosts were very helpful. I had no problem buying firewood at 7 in the evening, or ice when it was 8. The bathrooms were always clean when I walked up to use them and the hot water was always hot when I went to use it. I enjoyed being in the middle of nowhere, but within 10 min of a Wal-Mart. This was especially helpful when my propane valve failed at 3 AM and the furnace was blowing cold. I ran to Walmart and was back in 25 min with an electric space heater to keep us all warm. I would stay again!

Campsites are not on top of each other and you don't realize how close you are to the city.
