It's a really good store. The people who works there are very attentive, it smells nice, and the prices are quite reasonable.  I definitely recommend stopping in to see if you can find what you need there.

My first apartment in New York was in Astoria. I didn't know the area very well but found Home Comforts down the street. It is right by the Astoria Ditmars stop on the NQ.
I went in to look for some basic needs like sheets and pillows and found that they have a lot of great home necessities. I ended up getting all my necessities plus some mason jars and a shoe rack and cleaning supplies. They even have cups, pots and pans and rugs/decor. This place has everything you need for your home. It is very reasonably priced and convenient. The employees are helpful as well.
I gave it 4 stars only because some of their items are really cheap quality...you get what you pay for. I bought some towels for around $3 each and they were not good. They shed even after I washed them multiple times. The pillows were not the best either but were also very cheap at $8 each. 
Most everything else was really great: trash can, a fan, mason jars, sheets....overall this place is great for home needs. Especially so you dont have to trek to the city to go to Target or some big retailer.

This place sold me a stained bed set and then wouldn't give me a return. Store credit only.
