One of our vendors recommended Rachael for our event in Edgewater, MD, so we reached out, and she was so helpful from the very beginning. She got a good understanding of what we were looking for, gave us a lot of options to choose from, and then invited us up for a tasting. Normally the tastings are for cake only, but we had told her some specialty items that we were looking for for bite-sized desserts, so she made us a special plate so we could sample both the cake and the desserts, which was incredibly thoughtful. And then we actually tasted the desserts and we were sold. Rachael's desserts were the best we had tried - not too sweet, exactly the flavors we were looking for, and the right variety for what we envisioned. 

We ultimately decided to do a six-inch round cake, and we gave her some thoughts on the type of decor, mini cupcakes of a couple different types of cake/frosting combination, chocolate covered oreos with our initials, brownie bites, cannolis, and some cookies. Everything was amazing, and we got rave reviews from our guests. She also came to our venue to set everything up to make sure the table looked great and inviting to everyone who wanted to partake.

From beginning to end, Rachael was amazing to work with, and we were so glad that we chose her. She was so sweet to us, and really did an unbelievable job to make our day so fantastic. On top of that, she does an anniversary cake for free to celebrate one year out so her amazing desserts don't get freezer burn, and we are so excited to take her up on that to celebrate our anniversary. We would absolutely work with her again and would absolutely recommend her!

Spectacular, delicious, and beautiful cakes! Rachael made our wedding cupcakes and cake on 4/29/17. Her enthusiasm for baking is contagious. She makes the cake tasting process as fun, exciting, and carefree as you see in the movies! She always responded quickly and was flexible. Our guests loved the unique flavors the bakery offers including Old Bay chocolate, chocolate chip cookie dough, and banana nutella. You can't go wrong with choosing Cakes by Rachael. She was truly a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend her to anyone who wants a wonderful cake experience!

Delicious and beautiful cake!  I had a cake made for my daughter's baby shower.  The theme was succulents and Rachael made an extraordinary cake decorated with different succulents.  It was a big hit!
