Good sound system but its standing room only. You wait for 1-1/2 hours for show to start then stand a couple more hours. If you need to go to the restroom you have to squeeze/push your way out of the crowd and then back again if your lucky to get back to where you were standing before. Not sure I would do it again unless it was a MUST see band. Getting to old for that stuff. But they sure pack people in there for the shows.

FOOD IS SO GOOD HERE. Got the calamari, and I STILL remember how good it tasted. Servers were also super sweet and really friendly! Venue was also good, like the vibe of the place a lot. Had a good time.

Went to see my first Burlesque show. If you are 5'5"and shorter.....you can't see a damn thing! So save your money and go to another place where they do shows. So get ready to pay for other people to enjoy the show. The mid show break just left time for tall pricks to sneak in front....thus ruining the show even more. The stage is too damn low....I'm guessing for a puppet show it would be good. If all the kids sit down. I would NOT go back to House of Blues....and this place kinda ruined it for my first Burlesque show. IF YOUR REALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR FANS BURLESQUE LADIES......DON'T DO A SHOW HERE. But if your only in it for the money....continue.

The House of Blues San Diego was a very relaxed establishment. There's a live band and adequate drink selection and great company to be had, though the most attractive part of this business is the regular concert still have that you can buy tickets to and it's really just worth your time if you have a chance.

As a frequent concert goer I was skeptical of the House of Blues mainly for the fact that I hadn't been there before. But when I got there I was surprised by the way the people at the door handled a huge line and that they were able to get everyone in before the show started in a safe manner. The venue itself was smaller than I had expected but it gave a much more intimate feel with the artist. Overall I will definitely be going back to this venue.
