Story

The masterminds behind FIREHOUSE & Vin De Syrah, Matthew Spencer and Tyler Charman have teamed up with acclaimed designer Michael Soriano to create this classic American neighborhood bar. Comprised of two rooms separated by glass doors; one side decorated like a recording booth and your favorite vinyl on other, analog has created two unique environments in a single location. But after 10pm the doors open to make one room with one musical power, DJs, who will provide a lively dance-driven sound.
With a chic, throwback vibe analog has brought together the best qualities of a sleek downtown lounge with design elements of a wood clad 1970’s recording studio, an eclectic New York City dive bar, and a true foodie-destination.

Stopped in for happy hour & enjoyed ourselves. No time to play connect 4 on the table because the kitchen was fast, but it was early and pretty empty (the DJ was just seeing up). Decor made me happy. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is that I didn't hit it when the place is in full swing, so I can't really comment on it.

Don't EAT here horrible service I was in charge of Bachelorette weekend and decided to make reservations at Analog to start our night I had friends coming in from out of town and since I am the only one that lives in San Diego I was assigned the task. I had been in communication with the manager erin We set up a reservation for 12 for 7:30 pm. We arrived the restaurant was empty which we did not mind we thought we would eat quicker we waited for 30 minutes finally the waitress came to take our order and GREET us barely. We placed our drink order I was starving so I quickly ordered an appetizer to start us off. She came back at 8:30 to take our meal order I still had not received my appetizer she did acknowledge my previous order but neglected to put in my order. The food came out quickly after that but my Appetizer came out with my food. There was one waitress for the entire side I can understand if they didn't know we were coming but we did make a reservation. The food was ok I must say the drink were fabulous the only good service we got all night was the bartender she really knew her stuff and tried to make us feel welcome. When we were done with dinner, we were ready to move to our Next table that the manager had promised in the email. "I will reserve a table in the dining room, and a table to move to for the night club" her exact words. Well when I asked Erin she stated the table we were at is where we can stay. I pulled up the email and re-read her words finally she gave us a table in the corner by the DJ but not before scolding us letting me know this table is typically reserved for bottle service. My response "Well we just had a sit down dinner with 9 ladies." She responded "It's typically $150.00." My tab alone was $50 and the Bride to be's tab was also $50, and there were 7 more ladies who each ordered 2 drinks and a meal. What was supposed to be a fun night in San Diego with a great dinner was ruined by this horrible manager never once did we get an apology for the delay in service or food. With reservations at 7:30 we should be eating at least by 8:30 pm. I hope that the appropriate people see this email and that Erin is made aware that she is in the field of customer service and that night she lacked. I can see why on Yelp this place has 3.5 stars it starts with management you should look into a new leader for the Restaurant. I will never go back to this establishment. The Analog Burger was a success. Better than any regular burger combined with a great atmosphere and nice staff completed a good night in town.
