Processing a sound permit Friday 03/16 for my group's charity event. There are two free parking lots available, and parking was busy but not too full on a Friday morning. 
Initially there was a misdirection from information desk regarding where to get the permit ( directed to 4th Fl instead of the supposedly 1st Fl) but got resolved quickly by helpful staff both on 4th floor and the other person from Information desk (that's why it's four stars instead of five stars rating - and the waiting time too!). 
Misdirection and a long waiting time (30+ minutes) was made up by the lady at desk 16 who was super nice, helpful and courteous. First words from her was "So sorry for the wait since...." and she proceed to do a great job to help me with the permitting. 
Wish all government offices can have people like her who is very knowledgeable on her job, very helpful and able to advise customers on what options that we have - and very nice and kind on top of that! Great customer service!

For the most part everyone is nice, courteous, helpful, but I dislike when im trying to get stuff done in the morning and the employees are at their desk having breakfast, chatting with each other, and half attending you (where you make payments) or when you try to scan your ticket no. the ladies at the desk are looking through magazines, shopping online, etc. and dont attend you correctly. Wait times each time I have gone have been decent. The people in the front desk when you walk in have always been super helpful in leading me which way to go.

8/22/2017 Stopped by to get a permit. Beautiful building, but could use more parking space. Awkward parking lot layout makes for tight squeeze and no sidewalks for pedestrian traffic. Once inside noticed the beautiful architecture and design. Information desk up front made it easy to navigate. Lines moved along quickly. Friendly help getting permit and was in and out in minutes. Had time to check out the green space info. Awesome.

I stopped by today to get a clearance letter. I made it 30mins before they closed. And was promptly helped. Everyone was helpful and the whole process was easy! The lady who attended to me in the Basement level was amazing and was very helpful after my document needed correction (by a mistake of my part)

Needs more work on kiosks. Impossible to just walk up and print a ticket.
