UPDATE: This company did offer a refund of $100 once I explained to them that no one was going to pay $195.00 for a $50.00 thermostat. Called the company in November to check our heater that was short cycling. The gentleman said something just needed to be cleaned, so he cleaned it. They charged us $100 which we agreed to, because they don't have a "service call" fee. However after about 3 or 4 days, the heater was short cycling again. We called them out again in January (busy holiday season) to take another look. The company seemed to be very fair and although we just got the $100 bill from them, they stated we didn't have to pay until it was fixed. They figured out it was the thermostat. The guy told my husband that he could install the one he currently had, but it was a higher end thermostat and would run as about $200 or we could wait. He opted to wait for a cheaper one. They came out, installed it, and our heater works great! We received a bill in the amount of $230.00. I thought that was very fair and called to pay. HOWEVER, when it came to pay the bill, they said I still owed the other $100 for labor - that they were not charging me labor for installing the thermostat. I was confused and asked what the $230.00 was for. The lady proceeded to explain that the thermostat was $195.00 and the wire to run the thermostat was $35.00. Okay, my home is only 1300 square feet. The thermostat they installed is a very simple one and I ended up finding the SAME EXACT ONE at Lowe's, Home Depot, and online for all around $50.00. I could understand if they were charging me labor for both jobs - but don't mistake me for a fool and try to tell me that a very simple thermostat cost this much! I asked how they thought they could charge people this much more than retail cost. She stated that it's because they bring it out to us. Well, last I checked, there is NO WHERE within the city limits of Tulsa that would cost $145.00 in fuel to get to. I would have been more than willing to pay more than 'retail' for the thermostat, but I don't think 100% + mark-up does justice. AFTER I put my trust in this company, I then found several instances where they over charged others as well.

Poor service. Was told one thing and months later charged for something else. Everything was handled by one person and all of a sudden just an email from another person. Would not recommend, unprofessional.

We needed new pvc under the sink and our cold water knob tightened as it leaked a bit. They quoted $100 for the pipe work and $35 for a snake. $312 dollars later, we have NO knobs at all on the sink and no hot water pressure. We can't turn on the water without going under the sink. Horrible!!!!

Hudson Plumbing came out quickly and did the work for a very fair price. They were courteous and efficient!
