(DON'T EVER WORK HERE FOR CUSTODIAL!!!) I will leave this review here for the sake of anyone who is thinking of getting employed as custodian at this school. I started working here back in May of 2014 and had quit in September of 2016. I was going to use this as my college job, but plans changed quickly when I quickly learned how the custodial management were. To start this off; the leaders in the custodial department are extremely deceiving, hateful, and disrespectful. The way they treat their employees is beyond disgusting. Mike Tipton is the lead custodian and is one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful bosses one could ask for. He mentally and verbally abuses anyone he does not like and will tell tales about the custodians to the higher leaders in the district. Then he will demand respect from you while he treats you like trash. Barb Legates (Night supervisor) is very unprofessional, deceiving and hateful to everyone that is not a part of her little buddy group. She will treat you like trash until you are beyond fed up and will lie out the rear end about everything to protect herself. I had quit because I had enough of the belittling and bullying that Mike Tipton and Barb Legates was putting me through. This district (USD 308) has been made VERY aware of Mike Tipton from a few other custodians over the years but they do nothing about it and sweep it under the rug like nothing's happened. When I tried re-applying here over a year later to get my job back, Mike Tipton belittled me in the interview and told all sorts of tales about me and later played beat-around-the-bush when giving me information on my hire back procedures, which lead me to calling numerous times throughout a four week period trying to get an answer that I was promised to get numerous times, but did not. They made me go back and refill out an app online and go through two separate interviews while misleading me with info for almost a month before Travis calls me back and says he does not want to offer the job. Randy Norwood is not going to do anything and nor is the district leaders because they are all too far sucked into the deceit and lies that was spewed out about me and other custodians there. Anyone looking to work here, DON'T! Run as FAR away as you possibly can and go find a better place to go work for!

I used to work here almost a year ago. I loved the district and leaders. I am currently trying to get employed here again but it seems near impossible due to openings being filled extremely fast.

I had this teacher he was my math teacher big guy, long hair. (Can't remember his name. I was a new student half way through the year and was not even close to ready for his class. And he noticed I was struggling so he didn't force me to do everything the other kids were doing because he knew I wasn't ready. So he did what every teacher should do in this situation. Took me aside and gave me different assignments, different tests. He would only call on me if he thought I might know the answer. He didn't make me look like a fool. Even tho I didn't have him as a teacher long. He made the biggest positive influence in school. He helped me survive and get through school. He didn't watch me drown and give up. He pushed me. And I wanted to say thank you and I held a 4.0 in college because he never gave up. I learned alot that year.
