Hutton Power & Light is an excellent company!  I have used this company twice, and with great satisfaction each time.  The first job was fairly minor, in that I had an exterior light installed from scratch (powered to a new switch).   The second job that I had the experts at Hutton accomplish was more complex.  I wanted piece of mind in the event of an extended power outage (storm related most probable cause).  To this extent, I had the Hutton team install a system that allows me to connect a portable gas generator directly to my electrical distribution panel through an inlet box.  Essentially all I have to do is wheel the generator out of the garage, connect cable to a power box (plug it in), start generator, and then hit a switch on the newly installed (auxiliary) power panel.  The switch and new panel allow me to power 2/3's of my house.  A higher rated generator would power the entire house.  Essentially, in the event of a power outage, within minutes, and with very little effort, the majority of my house will have electricity.  The team at Hutton are professional and experienced.  I will continue to use them for future electrical needs.

My water heater stopped working and I was able to identify the issue as being at an electrical box in the attic.  I reached out to Hutton Power & Light on a Saturday afternoon expecting voicemail, being told sorry next week, or sure but there is a service charge for weekend service.  I am happy to report I received none of those.  I was told I will be over in a couple of hours, and he was.  I received updates about his ETA, which is great as it shows great communications, which is rare these days.  After his timely arrival I am happy to report I am very satisfied with the service I received.  I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

As the owner of Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub & Restaurant in downtown Norfolk, I was fortunate to have Hutton Power & Light come in and completely set me up with my electric. They knew exactly what I needed, told me what they were going to do, and did it. They told me when they would start and when they would finish - bam! Dave and his boys rocked it out!
So pleased, I had them work on my home. Again, above and beyond.

Joseph and Jamie just finished doing some work on my house and it was a very professional and pleasant experience. The quote for the work was extremely Fair and not deviated from I am very impressed with this company.
