I just called and a lady said "hello" then pretended not to hear me. I will be filing an official complaint with the manager tomorrow morning. That was so unprofessional no wonder why everyone hates this DMV. Maybe get workers in there that care. She could have said sorry you've reached us outside of our hours but instead of being a decent human she pretended like she couldn't hear me. So tomorrow when I come in I will be speaking to whoever I can to make sure in the future you do your job right. Thanks for providing your name. :)

I remember going to the annex and they were so helpful and nice. Then when they built the new office you became a number. Some of my experiences here have been okay. Not today. You are now here for them and to give them what ever they want and of course their money. In think I'll try going to Boise. Couldn't be any worse.

Realistically speaking, years of experience going to any DMV it’s always the same complaints. But when all is said and done, is it really worth waisting your energy on the constant complaining? By the time you get home, at least you take that big sigh of relief knowing that “that’s finally done and I don’t have to worry about it for awhile”! We are so wrapped up in expecting everything “right now” that we tend to forget, no matter how long it takes to get done, at least it will get done. Better yet, sometimes it’s better to take longer to make sure it’s done right because getting things faster can lead to mistakes and having to start all over. So which would you prefer?

I took my son to the Canyon County DMV yesterday to get his learner's permit. We arrived at 4:04 and were greeted by a sign on the door which announced that, as of January 8th, the Drivers License office would close at 4:00 pm. This was very disappointing considering that there was no notice of this change whatsoever on their website. So today my husband took time off of work to drive my son there for a second attempt. They arrived well before 4:00 only to find a sign indicating that they were too full and could not accept any more people today. When are young people supposed to do business at the DMV?? They are in school during the increasingly limited hours of operation! I'm extremely disappointed in this "organization." Very poor communication and service.

My girlfriend turned 21 this last weekend so when to get her license renewed and a new picture taken. She had to wait for a few hours even though there were 6 people there available to help. It was the slowest service I have ever seen. Once she did talk to someone there they were incredible rude. She did check her reflection in her phone just to make sure her hair wasn't doing anything crazy and the lady there basically yelled at her for even touching her phone. Then when it came time to take the picture they didn't give her time to even get a decent picture. They literally took the picture while she was unprepared and then wouldn't let her take another one. She left there feeling degraded and horrible. Terrible experience. The Boise DMV is light years ahead of this one in regards to time and friendly staff. Just don't go here. Can't believe my tax money is going to this place.
