Nice beach, a boat launch, and a park for kids. Pavilion with picnic tables. Huge parking lot. Major local attraction during summer holidays

Not recommended for swimming. While the park itself is pretty and probably a nice place to fish or picnic if you live in the area, we went there specifically to swim. What we found was a swimming area marked with buoys that was less than 10 feet wide and went out not even that far.  The beach was also not especially clean.  There are many better options nearby.

Independence Day Festival and Fireworks Review. - Despite signs telling people that they cannot stake out areas ahead of time, people do anyway. There is no enforcement. They use stakes to mark their territory and leave them in the ground so that the rest of us can trip over them on the way back to the cars. Very crowded. Also people throw balls near the parked cars.

What a fantastic little beach to take the kids to. Very nice, swimming area, no lifeguard though. So close to Milwaukee. ..

Cute park. Went for the fourth of July festivities. Good water show but the fireworks themselves were less than average. Lasted about 15 minutes only.
