We found Il Corso on a whim and were quite happy with our choice! The lighting, mood, and service of the restaurant were lovely. The Fettuccine con Funghi e Prosciutto was the star dish of the night and prompted us to get another plate to take home Note that there is automatic 18% tip included
We had a truly wonderful meal here! The service was excellent and the waiters were helpful and friendly. The place is small, but not uncomfortable. The raw beef slices and arugula was a great start to the meal. Excellent cut of meat and flavorful dressing on the greens, also served with delicious cheese. The pasta dishes are amazing. The sauces and meat served in the dishes were quite outstanding. Each bite was riveting. The desserts were a perfect end to a great meal. The tiramisu was seriously the best I've had. Would recommend!
Really cute small spot. The staff was incredibly friendly. They were attentive without hovering and I appreciated that they kept our water filled. The food was good and reasonably priced. The pappardelle was a favorite at our table. I'd come back here on another trip to New York.Food: 4/5
The pistachio pasta is the best. The Portugese octopus appetizer was just as good as Europe and the beet salad was the perfect mix of soft cheese and flavor. One of the teenagers had the pasta with the fries procutto and pecorino cheese, it was also just as good as the pistachio pasta. It was full even at 8p for our reservation so either reserve or visit as a smaller party to get seated easily.
Unassuming and not in any tourist’s short list… This is a great option when in Midtown East and craving a solid pasta dish. My Spaghetti di Mare absolutely hit the mark.Food: 5/5
Small but good Italian spot. Service was excellent most of the food as well. Octopus very tender, there was a smoked type of meat that was amazing can’t remember the name, it was a special. Also the risotto was fantastic. However the salmon was a bit disappointing. Not a lot of flavor, definitely not ordering it again, very bland and whatever. The desserts were great as well! I love that they have coat check, especially now that’s winter we gonna need one for sure
Some of the most amazing Italian meals I’ve had. Great ambience. Surprisingly very generous portions for all meals. The waiting staff were also exceptional. The eggplant and seafoodcalamari starters are a show stopper. Fantastic goodFood: 5/5
Mains and dessert were outstanding, the beef is incredible and so is the truffle and prosciutto fettuccine. Starters were not particularly great, we got calamari and carpaccio, both of which came with a mountain of salad. Service was very attentiveFood: 4/5
A truly fabulous dinner tonight. Service top notch. Delicious food. Very friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Pasta was fabulous. I edited this review to mention I just recently returned on New Year’s Eve for dinner while visiting NYC and it was just as good as my previous visit.Food: 5/5
Great service, and the food was quite delicious. Octopus can be a hit or miss, this time was a miss, but the rest of the food was perfect. Great cocktails.Food: 5/5
