Looking for a home cooked delicious Italian meal without going through the trouble of making it yourself? Il Forno’s never disappoints! Consistent, fresh authentic meals every time. Warm staff, super accommodating and make you feel at home! Thank you for being our getaway oasis! By the way Anthony was spectacular and never short on attention to detail and making sure all of your needs are met!
Hit em on a good day when Josh is behind the bar and you're in luck. Il Forno has decent Pizza, Wings and some of pasta dishes like Mama's homemade. Forno's is primarily a Pizza Joint restaurant but they do have a bar as well which attracts locals and couples on occasion to watch sports. Not a martini bar or top shelf brands but in general most drinks are well-made especially when Josh is mixing. And some of the waitresses are bright and attentive as well. Overall decent quick no waiting to sit and eat well with the family or cheap date. Buffalo wings and Carnivore pizza safe bet. Good luck.
Tried il Forno for the first time tonight and I must say everything we ordered was delicious! Will definitely be coming here again. Hard to describe but the texture of the pizza crust/dough was perfect. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with banana peppers, “the works” and subbed out the olives for pineapple, baked wings with Buffalo, bbq, and sweet red chili sauce on the side and calamari pasta. It was definitely a feast!
Paid $24.10 for a pizzy that is burnt as heck. Please have some quality control. I thought this place would had good pizza for me and my mom to enjoy but i was wrong. Would never return here again
Chicken tenders over cooked, pizza under baked, but at least the Waitress was good to us. ‍Food: 3/5
I'm going to visit again but for now this is my feeling on it. Appetizers were perfect bread sticks, cheese curds. Ordered 2 pizzas and one of crusts was a little more charred than I would have liked and wasn't much crisp to the bottom. They were very busy so I'm attributing it to that fact. Flavor was on point for everything, just that minor crust issue for me. . Excited to try it again when they aren't so busy. 1 star off on service because you shouldn't have people seat themselves and then ask them to move to a smaller table " we usually reserve the larger tables for parties of 6". I get it, but I'd rather be seated than be asked to move from where I've chosen to sit. Overall a great experience. I'd would recommend giving them a try.
Genuinely one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. A steak and cheese was ordered, when opened I realized it had quarter cuts of tomatoes. Which okay I can pick this off no big deal, then I realized oh there’s also spinach. I soon came to realize this was not spinach and just lettuce so old the color had gone dark…The fact that the chef literally saw how bad the lettuce was and chose to still put it on the sandwich is not something I’m sure I could ever understand. Especially considering no where on the menu does it state the steak and cheese comes with lettuce or tomato. I could have kindly asked for this to be withheld if so. There was also an order of cheese fries that I have no words to describe but I’ll do my best. The cheese and I’m being generous by calling it cheese was crusty and had the texture of plastic like it was heated in the microwave for way too long and then sat for the rest of the time. Inedible. Overall it was just like totally a super disappointing experience. Unless something changes I would recommend just avoiding. Based on the other reviews it doesn’t seem like this is an isolated experience or that the pizza/other dishes are even good enough to redeem.
Pros: friendly waitresses who are good at what they do. Cons: Ordered wings because they were “voted best in Frederick” - they were dry and overcooked. The sauce on them however was amazing sweet chili We ordered a bacon lovers pizza. This pizza leaves ALOT to be desired. First off, it is not a bacon lovers pizza. It’s a cheese pizza with some bacon on it. There was hardly any bacon given the name of the pizza. Second, while I do not have a problem with onions idk why you would put them on a bacon lovers pizza. It states on their menu that onions come on it, but I had overlooked that which is my fault. I assumed it would be just bacon and cheese like every other bacon lovers pizza we have ordered. Finally, while we had great waitresses, it did take about 10 minutes to get our drink orders in. Albeit they were pretty busy. Once the food was in it came out in a reasonable amount of time about 10 minutes for wings and about 20 for the pizza. I would probably go here again, but will definitely not be ordering the same food.
Il Forno is a nice spot on the Golden Mile. Their pizzas are excellent. The rest of the food, we have had mixed results. Appetizers like the Crab and Artichoke Dip and the Calamari are decidedly not great, but things like the Buffalo tenders and Chicken Dip are great. Again, though, the real star here is the pizza.Food: 4/5
