Probably one of the best nights of my life. Stumbled upon IL Mulino just before a dinner reservation celebrating a 21st anniversary, and couldn't have been more happier. Michael, Laura, and Run are the best. Great service, and phenomenal drinks. We had the best conversation just before closing. I will never forget you guys! Highly recommend. Can't wait to return.
Friday night dinner around 7pm, not too busy. Sat outside and was the only table. Service was great at the beginning and then started to wane. Ordered wine and steak, didn't expect to have a mini meat & cheese board show up, and didn't eat too much as I needed to save room for the steak. Steak arrived and was delicious as anticipated with truffle butter and I love truffle butter. Brussel sprouts seemed more boiled vs roasted without a real good char on the outside and minimal crunch. After the food arrived is when the service disappeared. Even after the meal was done and glass of wine empty, I had to call someone over to provide the check. I'd maybe try at a busier time where other tables are outside as I think the table was 'forgotten'.
Every time I come to I’ll Mulino I have such a great time. Their service is incredible. All servers are well knowledgeable on every detail on the menu. Great selection of foods and wine. The food is delicious. The last time I had the filet mignon and papardelle with mushroom cream and truffles. It was so so good. Thank you guys for your amazing hospitality time and time again.
Il Mulino Prime fed me well with a perfectly cooked and seasoned bone-in Ribeye. I craved a deeper selection of more mature wine or at least riper--more forward vintages to choose from. Serious was "good", but not great, as I felt our server was present when we needed him. A bug issue that isn't necessarily the fault of the restaurant is the booming music from the establishment across the street. Literally noise pollution. In the end, good food, but a bit expense.
It was an early dinner. We enjoyed the meal very much. The scallop with quail egg is an amazing appetizer to start the meal and they willingly divided the portion into 2 plates. Then we ordered the oxtail pasta and grilled sea bass. I love oxtail and the oxtail pasta is an additional oxtail menu that I can enjoy.
Visit there for restaurant week lunch, appetizer and dessert was perfect but the main cheese pasta was way to salty…
Awesome place and food, got there around 4ish but everything was perfect....service, food and ambiance was on point. My wife had the sea bass and I had the steak. Dry aged was awesome and cream corn is a must have. Try it out if you can
The food was terrible. Bland and extremely expensive. My bill was over $500 for 4 people. I ordered $40 pastas and the sever told me they were half orders and that I need to pay 25 more for full orders. Restaurant is a joke. Hiding behind the Il mulino legend.just using a name. What a waste of time in Manhattan. Please don’t be fooled
Me and my brother sat at the bar to eat and we order drinks, appetizers and a entree to take home the bartender was really sweet to us and we can’t forget the manager his self and another server !! They were all nice to us and it felt like Home! OMG THE RAVIOLI IS AMAZING’ I know all restaurants are making the porcini ravioli but they place is the best!!
We went during the Italian Restaurant Week - 3 course lunch for $29. The place is lovely and bright. The tuna tartare starter was beautiful and delightfully mild. The NY prime strip main dish was well done, although the steak was a bit too fatty. The truffle mashed potatoes was very delicious. The ricotta cheesecake was fantastic - milder than NY cheesecake.
