We stumbled into one of the best pizza ria's the other day friendly people and awesome food. We got the House special and it was second to none period. We don't live in Clemmons but it will be worth the ride for this food.
I ordered the Sicilian pizza for my son and a couple of his friends. They liked the taste of the pizza. I was disappointed in the scant amount of sauce, toppings, and extra cheese that I paid for. This was my fist and probably last order from this establishment.
This was our first visit to Illianos Pizza. My wife ordered their daily special: Philly Cheese Steak with onion rings. I ordered an Italian Stromboli. My wife loved her dinner. For her tastes, it had the perfect amount of beef, cheese, onions, peppers and tomato’s. The onion rings were hot, crispy and tasty. The Italian roll was soft for my taste. I would have preferred a crustier roll. The Stromboli was good and was served with extra pizza sauce for dipping. The restaurant seating is basic with six booths and two table that served six diners. The cashier did a good job of treating diners who arrived to pick up take out orders and those choosing to eat in. The prices for dinner ranged from $13 to $25 per person. Their menu is huge with offerings in these categories: Pizzas, chicken wings, hot / cold subs, cheeseburgers, sandwiches, Pasta, strombolis, calzones, chicken entrees and fish entrees. On our next visit here, my wife and I plan to order a hot sub.
The meatballs are VILE. They told me they don’t make those in house they are frozen. The garlic bread is good, but their marinara sauce is cold. They store it in the fridge in little plastic containers and won’t heat it up even if you ask. If you’re going to get pasta, get meat sauce not meatballs. The meat sauce is okay, not great, but definitely okay. Probably won’t be going back.
Hidden Gem of Clemmons have been there for years for a reason. Always fast Always hot and delicious. And the portions are large. Pizzas are huge and the crust are just the right ratio of crispy and chewyFood: 5/5
I ordered pizza and wings tonight, and they’re godawful. food was very obviously not fresh, the wings are sitting in a pool of oil. so sad.
We waited a bit longer than normal, BUT the service was excellent, the food was worth the wait and the small staff was working efficiently and kept us informed of the wait and the reason. This is obviously the place to be. Numerous orders were picked up and several parties were eating in the dining room. The restaurant looks clean and the atmosphere is light and friendly. I wish I lived close enough to come often! The cheese tortellini was wonderful and I got enough for two meals. The stuffed shells were delightful. I'd give more stars if I could!
Gave us rotten slimy lettuce for 4.99. The Stromboli was average at best, go to Mediterranean. You guys better change quick or you're going to close up.
I'm from New York and everywhere I go, I go to as many pizza parlors as I can to find good pizza. Well, this place has great pizza. There are a lot of places that could have good pizza, but always leave something out. This place has the right amount of sauce that tastes authentic. They have has just enough cheese and the right kind of cheese. The crust is perfect, crispy, yet chewy, and does not lack flavor. I want to come back and try their Sicilian pizza, just didn't have time to wait. If you are looking for real NY style pizza, this place is it, and the prices are more than fair.
