Front desk staff were polite and helpful. Dr. Rausch was personable and informative. She addressed my reason for the visit, as well as provided me with great resources for another topic. It was my first time visiting SHS since transferring this semester and she took the time to explain the process of doctor visits and prescription fills under ISU’s student insurance policy. I felt well cared for at this visit. Highly recommend Dr. Rausch!
I've never had any issues booking appointments here- it's super easy! You can book them online, over the phone, or in person. The staff is always so nice and really care about the services they provide. They send my records over to Mennonite in a timely manner each time. Also, they validated my parking at the Bone Student Center which was nice even though it would've only been $1 anyways!
My doctor was great! She was very attentive, comprehensive and proactive in solving my needs. 4.6 stars for her However, I had 2 nurses call me for the same thing right after another like stooges. One even had to keep taking holds to ask others information she couldn't remember. I got transferred around in circles with staff that seemed rude and on edge with each other. Front desk had no idea what was going on and seemed eager to dispute the nurses. All when they called me. The School of Business would have a hay-day putting this place back together.
Unfortunately had a late appointment but there was still over 35 minutes until close, but i could tell the staff was ready to leave. Been unable to get out of bed and coughing up bloody sputum for 5 days and was told to take ibuprofen and drink water, and call if it didn’t get better in a week. Had this issue several times before in the past, at other doctors always got antibiotics and immediately felt better. Don’t waste your time on this place.
ISU’s Clinic is basically the equivalent of going on WebMd and googling your symptoms. The front desk & personnel in charge of appointments are rude & snapped at me when I asked for a different appointment time. When I went here for my “lady stuff”, the doctor made me feel very uncomfortable and was just plain rude to me. I’ll stick with my family care provider back home.
Pretty great place. Mind you they are a publicly funded place, but i have gone every month at least for the past 3 years for my own medical variety of reasons. This in turn lets me say that they do care about you as a patient. And as a “regular” i wouldnt try to change it all. Especially in a time where medical care is so hard to find that is affordable.
I would take the other reviews with a grain of salt. It's your basic health clinic and I have had nothing but good experiences here. It's only $11 for an appointment which is so cheap compared to other facilities and the staff is so helpful and really care about the students here. Definitely recommend coming here!
My doctors & nurses have all been so good! Same with my therapist. I miss having them in my life!! So personable and compassionate.
They are the most unattentive staff that do not tend take your problems seriously. They also have the bedside manner of a dirty diaper. I would think working in the medical profession, you would have a better personality. But ISU Health Services proves this theory wrong. You would be better going to an actual immediate care or the emergency room. I'd give this establishment 0 stars if I could, but it won't let me.
I went to Mexico for the week of spring break and as soon as I got back to school, I started feeling faint, dizzy, and extremely sick. I went into the SHS to get help and Dr. Rauch and nurse Angie were the best people I could've asked for!! They went above and beyond to make sure I felt completely better and comforted me during my visit. I could not believe how amazing these two women were! If you ever visit the SHS, make sure you ask for either of them because they were the best nurses I've ever had!
