Pastries are the best here. Scones especially. Coffee product isn't always great. They could really focus on how to properly steam milk, pull shot of espresso, pour a latte, and upgrade equipment. Beautiful shop build. Seating area is open. And the staff is friendly. The bald man at the counter was incredibly rude and dismissive when we pointed out that the prices listed on the menu and in the pastry case were different than what they charged. He continued to talk loudly about our complaint to other customers as we sat and drank our coffee.  I understand that people have bad days but this guy was over the top and uncalled for with his attitude and the manner in which he addressed paying customers

I never wrote reviews as someone who works in the service industry, I understand people can have bad days. However, the experience I had here was horrendous. The bald man was so rude towards me, when I asked if it was my blueberry muffin on the counter he didn’t acknowledge the fact I was speaking to him and rolled his eyes. Once my coffee was ready he screamed it and then when I made eye contact with him he said yeah YOU. I love ily and was super excited when I saw it here, but he ruined it for me completely.

I always come here because the coffee is decent. Given that it's inside an airport high prices are expected, also due to high recent inflation. However they are overcharging for items with respect to the prices in the labels of the counter. When I brought this up with the cashier, he completely dismissed my complaint, asking why I am making a big deal of it if the cash register has the "correct" prices. I ended up paying almost a dollar extra for a muffin and a coffee.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the shops in the McNamara terminal and airport in general were closed. Options were limited.  This coffee shop was one that I had not heard of before, and I really had no coffee substitutes to choose from. However, in a way, I am glad that I came here and tried their iced coffee.  When I go to a coffee shop, I usually order some sort of iced coffee. I do not like it to be on the overly sweet side where I am essentially drinking a cup of liquid sugar. I like the coffee to be strong and rich, and I like it to have a couple splashes of the sweet flavor. That was exactly what I received! The flavor I had with my iced coffee was caramel. The barista put in a very little amount that was perfect for complimenting the coffee's taste.

I didnt have any customer service issues what soever. The coffee though... good lord that was bitter and that poor milk was aerated beyond recovery. Reminded me of that sea foam you see on shores/bays.

Always a good place for a coffee.  I typically skip it because there is always a line.  Today it was short and got a regular coffee and b’fast sandwich. The sandwich was a bagel with egg and cheese.  It lacked salt and recommend the bacon egg cheese sandwich instead.  Coffee was excellent as would be expected from Illy.

I was talking with the attendant about the fact that I had just land from Florida and I had no breakfast because after the hurricane the kitchen that supplies Delta's flights was not operating. I went to pay and she told me it was on the house. Human touch, thank you!

It's crazy that of all places the Italian coffee company illy would have a cafe inside the Delta terminal of the Detroit airport.  Located right next to the big fountain, the cafe is centrally located in the terminal.  Surprisingly, the line is never as long as that other big American chain with the lady in green despite having far superior stronger coffee.  If you've never had an illy espresso drink before, brace yourself for some really good stuff.  It's too bad that there aren't more merch available for purchase like the other illy cafes.

Baristas we’re great, excellent service, nice place to sit and relax and have a cup of coffee.
