This was our first trip here on a recommendation from a family member and we weren't impressed. We went at lunchtime on Saturday and had no problem getting a seat. It is a very nice clean building We ordered the Mongolian Beef & Sesame Chicken. The Chicken Chowder Soup they brought out was more akin to chicken and dumplings than any soup I've had. And it didn't taste like any chowder I've ever had either. My wife looked it but I didn't. The Mongolian Beef was a huge disappointment and tasted closer to what you get with Beef & Broccoli at most Chinese joints. Very little flavor with just beef and onions. I could have easily eaten it with mashed potatoes. The fried rice was the other disappointment of our meal It really wasn't fried rice like I've had before. It was bland and you might as well just order white rice. The highlight of the meal was the Sesame Chicken. It had big chunks of chicken breast and was fried and seasoned well. Will I go back? Probably not. It just didn't impress us at all. Nice building, great service but the food needs an upgrade.
Friends took me here for lunch and this was my first time eating here. I was very pleased! The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, the waiter was helpful and attentive, and the food tasted fresh. I got a to-go order of Sweet and Sour Chicken for my husband and he enjoyed it for dinner!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
This is one of our favorite spots on Youree. The service is always great and they are open on Christmas which is a big deal for me because it is my birthday. I have never had to wait for a table and rarely have to wait long for our food to come out. Not all of the dishes are amazing but the sesame chicken is really the best flavored one I have even had and the hot and sour soup is delicious! The complete set up is different than other places as it comes with a wing. We love it, we will continue to enjoy it!
The staff is amazing, very friendly. That’s the only reason why I left a 2 star review. The food however, is not great. If you are wanting good quality tasty Chinese food, go anywhere else. Two random dishes we ordered had peanuts included and there was no warning or indication of nut ingredients. So if you have a nut allergy. Beware
Ordered takeout for Christmas because I'm 7 months pregnant and didn't feel like cooking. Horrible mistake. I've never in my life had fried chicken that's golden brown but tastes like it's been burnt 3 times over. I ordered the combination low me in and I can't even get passed the smell. It smells like metal...very unexplainable. I could barely eat it. My husband ordered the chicken and broccoli and his was very unseasoned and not appetizing. I understand quality being low because of high demand and being one of the only restaurants open on a holiday but this was unacceptable. I will never order here again!
My husband and I had a wonderful date night because we had no power from tornado. It was close to closing and we were greeted and felt at home. The inside was so beautiful from the fishtanks to the authentic wood work and food. This is a must sit and eat inside even though they have curbside service. Vegetarian options: On menu. Kid-friendliness: The fish will entertain them so parents can enjoy their meal. Parking: Great location easy to get in and out. Dietary restrictions: It was on the menu.
Food was excellent and fresh. Staff was above and beyond perfect. Great portion sizes for the price. Will be back for sureFood: 5/5
Good food, clean, nice staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I was impressed on how clean the dining area was. I did not go to the restroom though. The food was clean, the staff was excellent. The price was just right. One thing that stood out was the food was individually made. Some Chinese places have just precut veggies ready to go and stir fry everything with generic sauce. This was not like that. Plates average about $12.00. I will say this, the portions are smaller than some chinese places but the quality is much better, with more quality veggies and not cheap fillers.
Don't believe the high ratings. Very expensive with small portions. They will fill your plate up with 80%vegetables and 20% meat. Very disappointed. If you want an upscale Chinese restaurant that give you small portions like fancy restaurants this is the place but if you want to get full and not empty your wallet don't go here.
Long time Shreveport staple for Chinese food. I had beef with broccoli and the chicken wings for appetizer - brought home enough for another meal.Food: 4/5
