A little windy. But fun for the kiddos. Going to go back and camp sometime for sure.

If I could give this a 1.5, I would. When you check in, make sure you ask for a pamphlet. We didn't get one and had to guess our way to our spot. We returned back to the park 5 min after they "closed" the main gate. God forbid you go in that way after 9:30pm. They take that seriously, and don't give a damn if you didn't know about the after hours entrance. Ranger little man was completely rude and condescending. There was one lady that answered the phone that was helpful and sweet. I wish I could remember her name, she was the ONLY one who was professional and nice. The spot we had was decent but the rudeness from the staff completely turned this review into a negative one.

Not bad if all you need is electric only; they have fought off upgrading to add sewer and water to campsites. Unfortunately, with the shortage of rv sites in the Denver area, they still close for several months in Winter. Most sites are far from level, so bring leveling blocks. The rest of the park is great for biking, hiking and much, much more and is beautiful. !!

Wonderful open space in a large city. Plenty of things to do; walk, hike, bike, fish and camp. Very quiet and dark at night...highway traffic becomes a dull white noise. Perfect place to stay while visiting our son in Lakewood!

It was ok. The ground was super hard so getting stakes in for tents were hard. Lots of ants on the tent pad area which left me one spot I could put my tent without attack. The wind can get strong in the afternoon storms. Lots of stringent rules and the ranger was a jerk. Came up to us with a big attitude before we even talked to him. The park is not a part of the State Parks so it requires a $10/day admission which is steep for a place you mostly spend the day at. I wish this park was better so we could come more often. It's so close to Denver.
