We had a double service on 12/8/17 at Inglewood Park. Our family counselor was Jason Downs. After going over wall plots and ground plots we went with a ground plot. Jason offered us some the most expensive plots that he had until I told him that I saw some property listed with a broker for $5000 cheaper. After we found a property at a price we agreed on I asked Jason if we could view the property and he said "He had to check the inventory and that would take about three hours" I then told him that we would wait and that I’ve never waited three hour for a counselor to check inventory. He then said that we could view the properties in about an hour. After we viewed the property he asked us to come back and sign the contracts. We came back two days later to sign the contracts and the paperwork was done for a totally different location. Jason asked us to come back again after he got it straightened out. We came back for a third time and we requested to have the caskets lowered in front of us for an additional cost of $750. Needless to say it didn't happen. I went in on Monday 12/10/17 and spoke to the vice president of operations and Ms. Cheryl Lewis and she told me she would speak to the other parties involved and call me back by Tuesday. I called her back on Wednesday and left a message and she returned my call. When she returned my call she made me feel like she was agitated at the fact that I had even called her back. I asked her did she speak to Jason about the original contract and she told me that Jason said there was no original contract. I was floored! Because with all of the mistakes and back and forth Jason dropped the ball and didn't include the witnessing fee. Then she said to me "I don't know what you want me to do! The services you paid for were completed!" I have done countless funerals at Inglewood Park without an issue. But when a customer tells you detail by detail all the mistakes that were made and you dismiss them like their issues are not valid and like they don't matter it's really sad. Inglewood Park has some of the highest prices in the state of California. When you make a mistake on something that’s so important to people you should show some compassion and own your mistakes. I'm sad to say that my experience burying my only son at Inglewood Park didn't meet my expectations. I will be writing the Consumer Affairs office as well about the shady practices at Inglewood Park.
****Update I forgot to mention that Jason told my aunt and I that the cost for the vaults were $750 each and he did not offer us the lower option vault that was available. He cost us extra money that we didn’t have to spend had he let us know all of our options****

***Update 12/19/17 I spoke to Mike Miller who was very understanding of my position and I tip my hat to him for not sweeping this situation under the rug. I recommend that Jason Downs gets some sensitivity training. I also feel that Ms. Cheryl Lewis needs to fully investigate issues and concerns of grieving families before she automatically assumes that her employees are correct. Once again Mr. Miller you were very understanding and I truly appreciate you meeting me in middle.****

My dad and brother are resting forever @ Inglewood cemetery a beautiful clean peaceful place , staff always helpful, i invested for myself  payment plan affordable. also love the yearly Dia De Los Muerto celebration my 4 year celebrating my dad and brother they made our Latino Culture a wonder experience

My oldest son is here RIP Johnny ,even though his father's Sister gave me her plot to bury my son.. later I found out I couldn't put a headstone on my child's grave because I didn't own it that is very heartbreaking for me and the dad wants to change the name I gave my son i raised on my own to something different and my son has a daughter with his last name how very cruel.
