I've now been involved with two places that this property management took over.. both experiences have been horrible. They are complete slumloards & I would never recommend doing business with a company that is ran in such a poor manner.

The worst landlord I've ever had. Doesn't return calls and is making false allegations that me and my roommate owe him money impeding us from getting a new place. Will more than likely take them to small claims court.

Negligent & incompetent.  Beware!

I am writing this review because Inland Real Estate llc completely screwed over a recently widowed woman who had inherited the responsibilities of her husband’s properties.  This was a sudden and unexpected tragedy and she was not prepared to take on the hassle so she hired IRE llc to manage things (Christian Rose - I have attached his current LinkedIn image).

Once hired he put a note on the door of the house informing the tenants to log into a website to pay rent and then stopped returning calls.  There was no lease in place at this property nor a security deposit.  Several guys were splitting the rent.  If there was ever a property that needed immediate and experienced management this was it.  Instead, when the tenants were finally able to get a response from him on July 26th (by CCing the owner in the email that was sent to him) his response was to raise the rent to much more than what comparable properties were renting for.  He told them that they needed to re-apply and sign a lease at the new rate in the next few days or they could move out.  You can guess which happened.

He of course maintains that he was raising the rent to “market value” but the fact is that the tenants as a group were able to find a similar place in the course of a single weekend immediately following his ultimatum, and for less than they were paying before.

The owner was understandably overwhelmed during this time and did not want to deal with any of this, but it was not her intent to suddenly and unexpectedly lose this desperately needed revenue and add a mortgage to her expenses.  Not to mention the costs and hassle associated with repairing and prepping a property to re-rent after it had been occupied for several years.  (a chunk of those turn around costs would likely be Christian’s fees.)

I would tell anyone contemplating leasing or renting from this management company not to. Inland Real estate is horrible company that at first will make people feel very welcome with smiles and flexibility. This company takes advantage of people who have less then stellar backgrounds. They're properties are in a state of mismanagement, and neglect. Some are even infested with mice and bed bugs. They never answer phones so it's impossible to makes complaints.
