Decided to try insomnia cookies after searching the area looking for cookie places after work. Fortunately for me the place wasn't busy at all. I took a quick look at the selection as I saw they had ice cream. The ice cream selection didn't sit so well with me but I was informed that they were awaiting an order. The selection was mostly chocolate and coffee based, both of which I'm nit a huge fan. I proceeded to get a snickerdoodle, sugar, white chip macadamia and a vegan birthday cookie. The white chip was a welcome departure from the subway cookies staple. The snicjerdoidke was tasty but a bit thin. The sugar cookie was perfectly crisp without flaking or crumbling all over the place. The best of the group was the vegan birthday cookie. I could barely taste any difference from the horror of hearing the word vegan combined with sweets. The overall experience was quick, simple and fairly enjoyable. There was 4 customers that came in as I reviewed cookies. One of the customers remarked about how the prices were better and more realistic then "Crumbl cookies" cookie shop. They also seemed delightfully happy with their choices.
It was a brownie with ice cream on it! The ice cream was actually pretty tasty but the brownie was just a brownie really. Love the hours, as a relative night owl there just aren’t always very many options out there.
The peanut butter cup cookie was pretty good but dang that guy who is manning the cash register is CRANKY. Eesh. Someone needs to give him a hug or something.
Our daughter is an overnight oncology nurse. We send her and her colleagues sweet treats to show our appreciation. The fact they took the time to actually notice and comment on certain aspects of the recipe was thoughtful!. Our daughter sent a text..brought tears to her eyes over the written words..THANK YOU for making a difference!!!
They're ok... not as good as I thought. First impression so-so... more so just a cookie nothing to write home about. Not my thing. I couldve made this at home... kind of tastes like frozen commercial cookie dough you buy at the store. A box of 6 = $12.50, gooey and not too stable, and no I didn't buy pizza that's grease from these bad boys.
Dirty slow service and long waits for over priced cookies. We walked out when we noticed an ice cream scoop sitting melting on top of the glass counter. No clue how it could have gotten there but if they are this dirty and careless in front of the customers how dirty is the kitchen in back. Not a good sign we went to one in Reno that was clean and delicious. This place needs to train the employees better.
Whoever the dude was that was working last night around 11pm needs an attitude adjustment. I understand it’s a minimum wage job and you’re tired, but come on. Doesn’t require much effort to be a decent human being. Cookies here are always good tho :
Please update hours of operation; same as other reviews: drove far to get cookies during store hours Friday at 5pm and the place was locked up, chairs were stacked and lights were off. I've been there once before and the cookies were delicious. You can't sell cookies if no one is working.
Came in at night to check it out. Service was great. I was the only customer. Location was clean. My issues are 1 No parking, which is par for the DU Area and 2 the price. $12 for 3 cookies - doesn't make a whole lotta sense. Glad I gave it a try though. Gotta get your late night cookies sometimes.
I recently worked with Kay from the University Blvd location for a fundraising event. She was wonderful to communicate with and the cookies were an enormous hit with everyone at the event. They have a delicious product and are an amazing part of the neighborhood surrounding the University of Denver !!
