I saw this on google maps and had to check it out, given the high rating. It was a bit awkward at first going in because it’s so informal but honestly that doesn’t matter. Ive eaten here twice and loved it both times. The pasties are packed with meat and veggies and just the right amount of food. I imagine I will be frequenting this location often!
This little gem is my favorite place to grab a quick bite when we stay at the Halcyon. The pastry dough is absolutely perfect and the filings are divine. From sweet to savory you will for sure find something you will love.
Stopped in and had to try one of the handpies. Settled on a classic apple and it was so hot and tasty. Can’t wait to try a savory one next!
As a frequent customer to the cherry creek farmers market we saw the pastry republic truck and ordered one. Wow! Wish I had found them earlier! Excellent, hot, and delicious! The country road is my favorite. After talking with the owner I found out there is a storefront in cherry creek. See you soon!
My kind of food. Unpretentious hand made food not trying to be something it isn't. Plenty large for a meal or even split between two as a snack. Next time will have to get some frozen as it beats anything store bought.Food: 5/5
Great spot to pick up a traditional pasty. The peach cobbler dessert pasty was delightful and paired well with coffee. The to go pasties heat up well too.Recommended dishesPeach Cobbler, Cheesy Potato
VERY small place -- really oriented towards take-out. Decent pasties, made in the morning and kept warm. Two 2-person hi-tops inside and a couple 4-person tables outside, on the busy sidewalk. Very limited choice of beverages -- all bottled. Dogs can sit outside if they can tolerate the foot traffic and limited shade. No bathroom. No parking -- must find a spot nearby on street.
Pasties are like British empanadas. Hot water crust pastry plus robust filling. The pasties here are large one could make a good lunch and flavor. Vegetarian and meat options. They also sell frozen ones you can bake at home.
2 hour commute for travel soccer and my husband was hangry. Found this little piece of paradise!! All three pastries we ordered were delicious and flavorful! Definitely will be back next time we are in town. Recommend the Joey and the South of the Border pastries!!
I was kinda worried it'd just be a bland white person empanada, but it was very good. flavorful, not dry, and not too salty. The filling was generous on the chicken, which is much appreciated given that it's definitely a sometimes food, so the extra protein helps me feel better about eating a whole one in about 2 minutes. The cashier was nice and friendly. The prices are reasonable. The only disappointment I had was that they didn't have any of the dessert flavors available, which I am now very keen to try.
