with all restrictions that united state has put and limited staff they do excellent job.they open earlier than usual and close later than what time they are suppose to . no where in the world you can renew your passport in few hours with out extra charges .

Perfect. I went to get a copy of my birth certificate in English. The wait was just 10 minutes and the people both staff and clients were wonderful. I went around 9 am and my document was ready by noon. I don't know how they do it but this is the way all government agencies should be. If this was how government acted in general nobody would have any reason to complain. I mean the professinalism; respect for people and punctuality were all as good as I have seen at the best of places. They should be the example for all government operations. Maybe it is because of the dedicated staff or because of the lack of bloat but whatever the reason is we need to study them as an example of how to run a government organization even when the two nations have no diplomatic relation.

What a professional, polite, and experienced staff! The operation runs like a well oiled machine. On the latest visit, my passport photos that I had in hand were of poor quality; however, a staff member took my picture to replace bad photos. This completed my file and I did not have to go back to bring new pictures. The place was super clean. In short time I got my, expired, passport replaced! I have visited Iranian Interest Section, for my Iranian passport renewal, many times. Every time, I received a consistently same excellent and quality service. I wish every government office, in Iran and the US, run like the Interests Section of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Washington DC! AK
