Visitors to any museum must know that a rather small percentage of the museum's art will be on display at any given time. Quilts are often quite large works of art, so the number on display will be limited. This might be a bit disappointing for travellers, so watch carefully for an exhibit you truly want to see. If you live nearby, visit often! I'm new to Lincoln and just made my first visit because I saw that there were quilts from Asia. The exhibit was fantastic, including everything from Chinese baby bibs to Uzbek camel garb. The wedding curtains and other quilted blankets and clothing were exquisite. I was there almost three hours. Fantabulous!

I was totally blown away by this museum. State of the art, eco-friendly building, beautiful pieces so well displayed, knowledgeable staff, fun pieces in the store. Get there in time for the tour. It's worth the time. I'd tell you about the exhibits, but they rotate them frequently. This is to save the quilts from the light and the weight of hanging. The gift shop is a destination in itself! Really fun stuff.

Beautiful space with a huge rotating collection. Nicely done and interesting even for non-quilters.
