Excellent. Helpful friendly historians. Adding new displays all the time. The museum tries to make some of the displays interactive, like you are really there. They deliver. If you have issues with PTSD, might not work on some displays. Is free.

Other than the maze of driving through the base to get there, the museum was great! It's a free place to walk through and enjoy learning about contributions from Iowa soldiers through time. There are many real vehicles to see such as helicopters, a plane, and vehicles. There is also a periscope in the submarine area that can see out into the base. It was fun.

I enjoyed this museum a lot. Fair warning navigation might be a little difficult as Google doesn't have good map of camp dodge, and I am not sure it should given its on a national guard base. Also its on a national guard base, so be prepared for that. Having said all that its a great place to learn about Military History.

The Iowa Gold Star Museum is a true gem! Top Notch exhibits and an amazing array of weaponry and artifacts. Our guide, Bob Gates was personable, knowledge and patient. Our group enjoyed his commentary. I would definitely recommend putting this museum on your central Iowa bucket list! Thank you for a unique experience🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Free free, kids had fun climbing on the tanks, an all the interaction play things... Great to spend a couple of hours on a cold day. An if it's nice out side. Fun there to
