I have been a customer of Ira's for 15 years.  They put a lift under one shoe for me.  Their craftsmanship is unsurpassable in that it is inconspicuous and most people are not aware it is there! The greatest thing is that the lift lasts and lasts! ALSO, they are OPEN ON SATURDAY from 9-noon!

Great customer service! They have repaired multiple pairs of shoes for me and the quality of work is consistently top notch.

My shoes are not expensive, but it's still worthwhile to have them re-heel and polish up my shoes. They do a great job and have fair prices. They'll also take out the creases if I want, but I like them this way: I think it gives them character. Super friendly guys. They have re-heeled a couple of my shoes now, one of them multiple times.

However, I've found that it's not worthwhile to re-sole Birkenstocks. I buy the $80 Birks, and it costs nearly that much to get them re-soled. Now I just buy new ones every few years. If you buy the more expensive Birks, it may be worth it for you.
