The lady that consulted with me about my pregnancy today was absolutely terrible. My husband and I went to get my results after taking the pregnancy test. The nurse that led us to the room warned us that the doctor might not let him stay with me, though no one else had a problem with it. No reason was given, and she did in fact have a problem with it as it took her a lot of time to let him stay (Don't know her name, and don't want to be rude about her physical features online, so she'll remain anonymous). She curtly asked me questions about my medical history, gave me pamphlets, and was incredibly rude the entire, thankfully short, visit. Just stared at me when I asked if I would need to make a follow up appointment with the health department, laughed at my questions (even though I had just told her this is my first pregnancy) and basically said my visit was a waste of time and money because they knew as much as I did. I believe she was being such a you-know-what because my husband stayed in the room, though why someone would have a problem with a supportive relationship, I have no idea. Don't waste your time with this step at the health department. Take your home test, Apply for Medicare, and go straight to a primary care specialist. Most pointless attitude I've ever experienced.
