Roger and I(Diane) had a wonderful experience at the First Family camp in June for people with Physical challenges. I felt like we were in the Garden of Eden even tho we know no one but Adam and Eve have been there. The outpouring of love and support was tremendous. God's servants were everywhere. We were so blessed. Two of our grandchildren spent 1 night with us. They had so much fun (not because of being with grandma and grandpa) but because of the young counselors who took them under their wings. They couldn't wait till they had their Youth camp week in July. Thank you to all

I've went there for the last 2 years! I love all the staff and always meet wonderful friends. I love all the wonderful things there! I hope when\if u go u will love that place as much as I do!

Thursday, June 2, 2016 My family and I attended a Gold Star Weekend Retreat a couple of weeks ago. We had a wonderful time with all the events offered and the great food. But the best time was meeting Bob Bardwell owner of Ironwoods Springs Christian Camp and all his amazing staff! A BIG Thank You to Bob for being such a lovely and generous host. We also had the opportunity to make new friends as we all healed in the loss of our military loved one. Kudos to Bob and his staff. Thank you on behalf of me and my family. First of all, I'm surprised by all the 5 star reviews, I can only assume they were not reviewing the tubing. My family and I have been snow tubing in the past, and we were expecting a similar experience coming to Ironwood Springs, and it was anything but enjoyable. To make matters worse we brought family with us from out of town, who too were also expecting more common tubing hills, and tow ropes. The tubing hills went from bunny( which wasn't bad), to straight cliffs with the worst bumps to really get you flying out of your tube. Getting back up, provided you made it down safely, was a glove shredding, rope burning, clothes ripping experience, which sometimes resulted in getting your face smashed, and body flung into a wall at the top of the hill. The tow rope this place has is just insane, it's running so fast, just inches from the ground, and you have to tackle it like a football player to have a fighting chance of getting up the hill. If you're a thrill seeker who would like the ida of hang gliding with only an inner tube, this is the place for you. However, if you're like me, and would prefer to stay on the hill , and enjoy tubing the way it was meant to be, I would suggest looking elsewhere. I do have to say, in their defense, they did extensively warn us of all the above mentioned things, so it's tubing at your own risk.
