All Praise is due to Allah, we praise him, and seek his help and forgiveness; we seek refuge in Allah, Most High, from the evils of our own selves and from our wicked deeds. Whomsoever Allah, has guided, none can misguide him, and whomsoever Allah, has misguided, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no true god worthy of being worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner or associate. I further bear witness that Muhammad is his true slave and Messenger. May Allah, bestow his peace and blessings on the final and seal of his prophets, Mohammed, upon his good and pure family, and upon all of his noble companions.

The Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines was established in 1989 for Muslim worshipers living in and around Des Plaines, IL. All prayers and religious activities were carried out at an old house purchased in 1989. "Al-Hamdu-lillah."

The Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines has been conducting religious activities in a masjid, which was housed for over fifteen years in a single-family residence. It is a blessing of Allah (SWT) that we were able to build a new, bigger mosque that can serve all the Muslims in the surrounding suburbs for many generations to come.

Al-hamdulillah, it is a real pleasure to see the Muslim population growing all over the world, spreading the word of God and building the communities on the basis of faith and truth.

In addition to serving the needs of the Muslim community in Des Plaines and metropolitan Chicago through all the activities that are being held in the Mosque, we, here at the Islamic Community Center of Des Plaines, are committed to promoting Islamic values and Knowledge, as well as strengthening our community by educating and helping Muslims in a society where confusion and lack of spiritual values dominate.

This page is mainly targeting all Muslims that live in the area, however, it is also targeting non-Muslims who are seeking information about Islam, and would like to get answers to all their questions right from Muslims themselves.
