A nice clean and unique place.  Has a food counter with seating.  Grocery is leans more toward Filipino but general Asian items are prominent.  The fish and meat counter has some incredibly low prices though the quality reflects the price at times.  Grocery prices are comparable if not lower than other Asian stores.  Friendly staff but sometimes the registers are slow.  Great local place to show.  Plenty of parking, except for the weekends when its packed.

Island Pacific has the best Filipino take-out food that we know of in Seattle. For $35 we can get enough to cover lunches and dinners for the two of us for several work days of the week. Mungo, sinigang,  caldereta, pork adobo, dinuguan, tinola -- almost as good as my wife cooks! We have done this several times in order to spare my wife the chore of cooking on the weekend for our work week. The food is great!

When we had a party we bought a couple of platters of their barbecued skewers. These were gobbled up before anything else!

I lessened by one star because when we went to the butcher department, we waited and waited for someone to come out and help us -- a worker walked by behind the counter and ignored us. To be fair, I must say that I spotted a bell as we were walking away and we had not rung the bell for service.

Of course you can find the uniquely Filipino or Asian grocery foods such as plantains, purple yams, tuyo, the spicy sardines in oil, and the big tins of cookies for $6.00 -- perfect to take to the office to share.

We live on north Queen Anne Hill and find that Island Pacific is worth the drive all the way down MLK Way South.

Revision: when we ate the pompano in sinigang sauce it was so salty! -- too much patis!

Best Fil-Am cuisine in the area! Not too many Filipino places to eat, Island Pacific is a hidden gem!

Lots of great choices especially the fish. They can clean and fry fish. Decent prices

I was there on the opening day and I've going here regularly, they got their act together very quickly and they've done so since. Produce staples are always available. Seafood section fresh add can be. Meat section always rotates very fast. Food Court is great, but that's a different review since its s different company. Yum.
