The Islander Beach Resort is an older establishment with a beautiful beach view from every room. The unit in which I stayed was in need of an update as far as decorating but everything was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed with supplies. There is one large pool, a small kiddie pool, and two hot tubs all with lovely ocean views. The pool area Is clean and well stocked with towels and toys. In the lobby are two young ladies trying to sell timeshare weeks. They are persistent. There is a small exercise room and a nice sized arcade room. The Islander is very conveniently located. You can get to many stores and good restaurants in minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here July 2017 in a 2BR condo. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's a basic small condo. Comparing it to the condos we usually stay in, it's not very big and not that nice. But it's not dirty or bad, necessarily. If I was going to rate this place among other similarly priced condos, I would probably give it 5 stars. Our condo had no balcony. We knew this before we rented it. It did have nice big windows to look at the beach. Some units do have balconies. My only complaints, other than small and basic, would be the having to wear wrist bands and the ridiculously early check out time. When we checked in, they gave us all wrist bands and said they were required to go in the pool. She told us to put them on loosely so you could take them off when you weren't at the pool. We all tried that, but it wouldn't work. There was no way to put them on that way so they could be taken off and on. My biggest complaint is the ridiculously early checkout time of 10am. And they have a strict policy of not extending checkout time. We left our condo at about 2 minutes after 10am to go down and check out. As we were leaving, the phone started ringing. No doubt the front desk reminding us to check out. They didn't say anything or try to charge us anything extra for checking out 5 minutes late. The kitchens weren't as well equipped as the condos we usually stay in, but they were fine for us. In summary, a very basic, small condo that rents for a good price but has a ridiculously early checkout time.

Love this place - great location, right on the beach plus a great pool. Nice activities for kids and adults. Very clean and great staff. Restaurants nearb and grocery

Been going to this hotel for 35 years!! My parents have owned a time share there and we have enjoyed many memories there. Now i have a son and we go visit there every year as well. while it is is not a luxury hotel and the elevators are extremely outdated, this is a great quaint place with an amazing view and friendly employees....I'm giving it 5 stars because overall it might not be spectacular, but every year we go back i really look forward to going back and theirs gotta be some amazing reason i keep going back year after year for 30 plus years!!

Nice place. Nothing fancy but not all worn down. The staff was helpful but did not go above and beyond by any means. Super convenient spot. Right on the ocean off the main road in. Not far from the main entertainment drag. But not so close it is a mad house. Have been to this plas several time over the years and it has been constantly the same. Good spot for a low key beach vacation close to a lot but far enough away to not feel crowded.
