Blue Orchid owners, Witawas Srisa-An and Malinee Kiatathikom, are proud to announce the launch of their new restaurant, "Issara" (pronounced "itz-sahra") Modern Asian Cuisine, in southwest Lincoln, opening in September 2012. The menu will feature a wide variety of pan-Asian cuisine along with a handful of your favorite Blue Orchid Thai dishes.

Everything we had for dinner was AMAZING. The Duck Rolls appetizer was some of the best duck I've ever had, and my Panang Curry was creamy and deliciousssss. We were seated and waited upon quickly, and service was prompt throughout dinner. The only complaint was form my parents who said the menu was difficult to read, but once we used our cellphones for a flashlight they were good to go. We're looking forward to eating there again and again to try everything on the menu!

The food was really good but I am not happy with being charged $14 for a pint sized thing of veggies and shrimp. Was really sad as I cannot have things such as rice and noodles. I am always looking for new places that accommodate my dietary restrictions and this was barely any food for an outrageous price. Won't be going back based on price. :(

Issara has a wonderful atmosphere and beautiful decor. However, I took a star for a very long service time, about forty minutes between ordering and our food being served. I also took a star because the food itself was somewhat bland, despite being marketed as spicy. Price was right for the amount of food served.

My experience was only take out however, I received better service just placing an order & waiting (a short amount of time) for it than most places I dine in. Tastefully pretty place. Pad Thai is excellent and more reasonably priced than others I've had in the area. Heard the drunken noodles are awesome as well. Definitely be back to dine in next time.
