We stopped in our way from St Paul to Holmen and the food was amazing! Service started a bit off with the cash bar in the back and a surly bartender not explaining the food ordering however once we ordered at the counter we were met with smiles and genuine hospitality that makes small towns welcoming. My bf had the Nelson cheese steak and while he usually is a critical diner was blown away by the flavor and portion size. I had the brisket and pulled pork platter, brisket had the perfect balance of fatty goodness and firm smoked flavor. This place is now on our route to stop in

We stopped on a whim after a long errand. Everything was perfect. Atmosphere, staff, food, timing, lunch, ice cream. We will go back every time we are in the vicinity. I would give them 10 stars out of five. Thank you so much!

This is definitely the best BBQ around here, and among the best anywhere! Over-the-top awesome ribs and pulled pork, and the side dishes I've tried are all house-made and much more than an afterthought!

Absolutely mouth watering BBQ! The sandwiches are delicious, the ribs are fantastic, and my favorite are "Fred's Nachos". It's tortilla chips layered with pulled pork then a layer of their amazing baked beans, topped off with melted cheddar and jalapenos! A little pricey but well worth it for the large portions and wonderful flavors.
