Where can I start. This place shall forever be a Gem in my heart. Not only is food amazing, and very well presented. But to accommodates to customer request is a whole new level. I called 2 months prior to my visit(first timer) advise: that It was 8 year anniversary and that I wanted to propose. Michelle then asks “what I had in mind”, already to a good start. I let her know I wanted to be special and a surprise. I order an explosion of lavender flowers from My florist down the street from J Gilbert’s that I brought over to restaurant same day of reservation to put on table that we would sit. Well staff did so and beyond the accommodations they fixed the table with a white table cloth, led candles throughout the table to show the intimacy of the occasion, took a rose from the explosion and spread flower petals on the table, Michele also advise me that I was able to generate our own menu. Say no more. Nothing better to show the lady of your dreams your in control. I also purchased a bottle of wine that popped the big question for me. Overall everything turn out great, She did not expect a thing. This is true work ethic amongst the staff, I could not be more satisfied to how ravishingly beautiful everyone was towards our celebration. There could not be a better team that efficiently work and communicate to accommodate customer needs. Yes there will multiple visits from us.

On Tuesday April 17 I brought 30 of my clients for happy hour here.  We got the absolute BEST service and EXCELLENT apps and drinks.  Everyone single one of my guests was thrilled and happy.  They are still talking about it the next day.  Shout out our two waitresses who were polite, fast and top notch.  Takes a lot to impress me and J. Gilbert's does just that every time I come dine here.  BESRT for your money in McLean or surrounding areas.

Traditional DC steak house. Great Manhattan. Don’t let the lack of parking and busy parking lot fool you. This place is big and has a huge happy hour. Seating is quick. Food is 4.5-5 stars all around. They really want to make you happy too, so don’t worry about asking for a sub.

This is a long time favorite. However, upon my recent last visit. The staff seemed less then thrilled I was there. Odd to see staff sitting at the bar talking, eating. Have a feeling something has changed?

Beautiful restaurant, amazing service.  Scallops were Devine.  That being said.  Lobster  risotto was mushy, and tasteless.  My friend was very disappointed in the baby back ribs.  Tasted not so fresh to me.  Reminded him.  When you go to a steak and seafood place.  Order steak or seafood!
