We moved to the area about a year ago, we had a great stylist and would drive back down and have our hair cut every 8 weeks or so, she retired recently due to health issues, which left us to find a new stylist. A very daunting, usually long process,  yes it's hair and it growns back but it took me years to find the one we had! I think most people can relate...Anyhow....we decide to try J Thompson Salons because the reviews are actually very good! Yes I read the Google reviews, it let's me know what the locals think 😄 So we have our appointment bright and early at 8 am this morning! Let me rewind a bit I called a week ago but because of Christmas, everything was booked! Noone had any openeing so we take the appointments for today. I walk in and immediately I am greeted with two very warm, sincere smiles with Jennifer saying you must be Dana! I immediately felt any anxiety leave! In comes my hubby behind me and says this is Gary? Come on back with me, can we get y'all anything? The other girl, just as sweet, open and friendly (I forget her name, I'm so sorry!) gets me a wonderful cup of coffee! Jennifer talks with me a while 15-20 minutes (I keep my hair short) so, a long consult wasn't really necessary..she asked me different questions, got a feel for what I wanted and took me and washed my hair. Jennifer has the most wonderful, strong and delicate hands! I thought I'd fall asleep, I might of dozed a time or two 🤣🤣I know it's a long review, please hang in I'm almost done! Jennifer spent just as much time styling my hair as she did cutting it! The great care and meticulous, attention to detail she has is just phenomenal! She turned me around and what I could see I LOVED!!! The lady that was there having her hair cut and dyed I think not only raved about the products (it's their own product line) but looked at me and said that is beautiful! For the first time in many, many, many years I got what I truly wanted!! A beautiful, well shaped hair style. She used the wonderful shampoon on my hair (the energize) it smells like peppermint and tea tree oil and feels so good!! I went ahead and bought the products she used on me. They are light and don't feel like I had anything in my hair (I have very fine hair)! Here's the true test! We went and ran errands, had a late breakfast and came home. Both my boys and my Mom loved my hair!! I came home took a nap, woke up and my hair STILL looked AMAZING! I will definitely update in a few days as that is when the manageability of a style is really put to the test! Can I style it the way Jennifer did just as easily myself! Today's appointment was worth every penny! I'll use Jennifer for life now ( or as long as she's willing to cut my hair)! They are absolutely wonderful in the Salon, her hubby was even there and just as warm and friendly. If you are still apprehensive just fo in and have a consult with her, you'll see how great she and her staff are!

1st of all let me be the first to welcome you to the superior social network. 😊

I have been going to see Krystina for over 4 years now and even thou the prices have risen over time and have scared off some, the quality of service has never waived one bit.

So here is the math for those interested. Prior haircuts before coming to JT cost me $25 (not bad) but the longest I could go was 3 weeks before needing another. But here I can go for 6 weeks and I'm paying $50. So it appears to break even, but what I failed to mention is men's haircuts also come with free neck cleanup.

My advice is go, but find a newer stylist to grow with. They all have excellent training so you can't go wrong.

This was my first time at J Thompson Salons and it was a fabulous first time experience! I always get nervous having my hair done because I've had some terrible hair cuts & colors in the past. I'd made an appointment with Blanca and she was fabulous! She listened to what I said and did what I wanted and I walked out feeling great about my hair. The color was perfect and she did a great job of cutting my hair too.  I highly recommend Blanca and am so happy I've found such a great hairstylist.
