Story

With easy access to I-90, this KOA makes a perfect stopping point, halfway between Chicago and Mount Rushmore and only a half-day's drive to the Badlands or Wisconsin Dells. Choose a tent area with grills, a one- or two-room Camping Cabin or a long, level pull thru site. There's even a corral for your horse. LP gas is available. Enjoy the pavilion and free high-speed wireless Internet. The heated pool, volleyball, horseshoe pits, playground and mini golf keep campers entertained-along with hayrides and ice cream socials. Don't miss the seasonal garden veggies in the camp store. Walk next door and pick your own fruit at the Red Apple Orchard. This KOA is close to great fishing and waterskiing lakes, car races, golf courses and restaurants. You can even have meals delivered right to your site. Visit historic Fort Belmont and learn the history of Jackson.

Super friendly and family/friend run. They helped me through some vehicle trouble while traveling cross country, took me right in, and let me stay in exchange for some labor. Grateful for them

Owners and seasonals very warm and friendly. Well maintained and clean. My favorite campground as it feels like a community .

We only stayed one night as we are on a road trip, but we stayed in one of the cabins and it's absolutely beautiful. The campground is well maintained and the people are nice. A perfect place for us with our two dogs.

This was the nicest and cleanest KOA we have stopped at. We were just passing through and needed somewhere for the night. Frank was very friendly and attentive and answered all questions I asked. Definitely a great place to stop.

Don't bring the family. This place is for the seasonal campers they already have and couples passing through. Pool is a tiny circle and apparently "closes at dusk" in June means 7pm. Playground is an old metal swing and small metal slide. Mini golf, no. Pet area, dirt and weeds in a fence. There are plenty of state and other parks in the area for a forth of the price and actual activities. Bring the kids there.
