This is for JCPenny in general.  I placed an online order for pickup in Layton.  I paid with PayPal. Then the pickup address changed to Valley Fair Mall.  I called customer service who said I have to call store because it already shipped.  So after 4 times trying someone answered.  She took my order number and name, she said someone will probably call me.  I had to ask what do you mean. I just want to pull the same item from stock in Layton and pick up there.  It never did get resolved. I don't know which store to go to.

I came to this location to pick up some rose gold earrings I had bought online. The store appears a little cluttered with all their product. the woman I interacted with in the jewelry section was helpful and nice. I didn't actually shop around the store, but the earrings were a good deal so I would probably be open to shopping here again.

The store was cold. The clothes are cute but it is hard to find small sizes.

I don't know if it's it's location or what but I went to jcpenny yesterday and it looked like black Friday had just happened. The place was trashed! Their clothing racks are way to close to each other so it's hard to weave through them. The clothing racks were misc clothes just thrown on them and no organization. I tried looking for a grocery cart and the employee I asked for help acted like I inconvenienced her gossiping session with another employee. I'll just go to the more respectable locations from now on.

My husband and I are in town for a funeral and needed dress shoes. We stopped in at this JCPenneys to grab what we needed after attending an emotional viewing of our loved one. Our 2 year old daughter went into epic melt down mode. Screaming, kicking, sobbing... she was exhausted from a plane flight from Seattle and being around a lot of sad adults.  IN FRONT OF THE CASHIER my husband handed me his card, said "use this one I will take her out to the car."
The cashier then proceeded to tell me I couldn't pay for the items because it was my husbands card and I couldn't sign for him because maybe I stole it. Say what?! I hit enter after signing and said it already went through sorry. And then told her "You WITNESSED him giving it to me. And our screaming child. I am NOT stealing anything and do not appreciate you insenuating I did in front of all of the people in line behind me."  She tried arguing with me but I just left at that point.  If she has an issue with me using the card he gave me to use she should've said something before ringing me up.  Not waited until the transaction was already completed.  Absolutely not the customer service I needed at that time. Customer service gets half a star.  The other 1.5 was because the store was clean.
