Went to pick up an order which was a simple pair of jeans and waited over 40-45 mins for them to tell me my order was lost when i had a same day pick up order in which it said it was ready. But then they went on to say there was a computer glitch.. Not my first rodeo where they've messed up but its the last time. You can never find anyone to help anyway. No manager or anything. Some unprofessional people in there. This jcpenney didnt even deserve 1 star but i had to put atleast 1 star

Methinks not ever again… and I would advise anyone else of dark skin color to stay away…strong accusations…yes…but the way I was handled was very wrong and discriminatory so I would have to sum this up as such!!!  There was a good sale on backpacks so I decided to pick one up along with a lunch pack…Betty (the JCP associate) seen me when I picked the items up and headed her way to the register. When I asked her if it was ok for me to check out here no didn’t reply she just started ringing up the items…(that should have been my first red flag to get the “F” to another register, but like we all sometimes do I  ignored that red flag and proceeded with the transaction.  While she was ringing she asked me will I be using my JCP card, I replied yes are there any extra discounts when you do…her response: NO not that I know of up here.  I said ok I’ll look on the website and see if there are any coupons there.  After she checked the backpack (thoroughly) she then opens the lunch box up and physically you can see with your eye that there is nothing in the lunchbox will needless to say this lady takes her hands and rubs all around the lunch pail (inside where she just looked in) and turn it upside down and shake as if something was going to fall out…after realizing how she smashed down on the backpack AFTER she checked every nook and cranny insight that’s when I realized that this so-called “SECURITY CHECK” was very abnormal and uncalled for!  At that I asked do you have to really check the items like that after you already checked them the way you did…she says: yes, yes, I do it’s a security matter we just never know….I said never know what you seen me when I picked it up and walked straight over to your register, I really feel like you are being funny you know there is nothing in the bag she goes on to say continue to tell me about security procedures…..Ummm I am very aware of security procedures for a split second I thought I was at the airport being screened by TSA and we all know how they can be…hmmmm she would be good fit for TSA tho…anyhow I left the stuff on the register and I walk off at that point I was heated and I felt discriminated against….I have never in my consumer life been treated like or experienced this.  I have encountered employees who had bad days, didn’t want to be at work, grumpy and then some who just didn’t give  a “F” and I would rather deal with those types then deal with what I had to deal with today at this store.  It took me by great surprise because usually JCP associates are extremely helpful and aimed to make sure the customers are having a good shopping experience but today was different.  Racist is a very strong accusation but the way she treated me was equal to the accusation…after speaking with two managers there I would hate to have to draw a conclusion of silly racist remarks about “Chesterfield” but I am left with the impression that somehow this may be true…I hope that no one of any ethnicity have to ever experience what I experienced on my lunch break!!!
